Timing is everything.

We have to stop relying on how we feel.

I can’t wait to be married. I can’t wait for the proposal, the planning, the wedding. I can’t wait for our first kiss and our first dance and our first time as newlyweds. I can’t wait to wake up the morning after, probably a little hungover, and realize that I’m going to have the same arms wrapped around me for the rest of my life. I can’t wait for the third, the eighteenth, the six hundred and twenty third time that we have breakfast together. I can’t wait for the first time we see our baby, or the first time we see them smile, or the nine hundredth time they throw up on us right as we’re about to leave the house and so help me god I have to change my shirt again. I can’t wait to grow old on the outside but still stay as young and in love as we were when we started our journey.

I hope that someday, somebody wants to hold you for twenty minutes straight, and that’s all they do. They don’t pull away. They don’t look at your face. They don’t try to kiss you. All they do is wrap you up in their arms, without an ounce of selfishness in it.

There are people who are always in love with the sky, no matter the weather. One day you will find someone who’ll love you the same way.
