Bardot was a supporter of the French far-right, endorsing them in several presidential elections. Since at least the 90s, she expressed on many occasions openly racist opinions, getting her fined for incitement to racial hatred 6 different times.

And to be clear, this is not just the friction between her animal rights activism & ritual slaughter: she called immigration & Islam dangerous, and made the following comment on the mixing of race in her 2004 book:

While among animals, breed reaches heights of extreme vigilance, with mongrels considered as rejects, left to rot in kennels or die without compassion of any kind, we are reduced to taking politically correct pride in mixing, stirring our genes, and pledging allegiance to our roots in order to allow our descendants to be forever crossed by secular or religious predominances fanatically derived from our most visceral antagonisms. This is extremely regrettable.

In the same book she opposed "tasteful gays" to "freak show attractions, sadly stimulated in this decadence by the lifting of prohibitions". Or criticised the involvement of women in politics.

She's been critical of the French Women's Liberation Movement from the 70s (arguing there are no more real women or men), and after the rise of #MeToo came to the defence of aggressors while calling the denunciation of sexual assault as "hypocritical, ridiculous, pointless".
