Stuart Sutcliffe’s handwritten love letter to Astrid Kirchherr
‘Darling Angel, I wait so long, it seems - forever when I have a letter from you. Are you so sad, are you a little bit angry, have you angst?? This letter is my fourth (4). Today is Saturday. I left Hamburg 4 days ago. Now I miss you more than before. I wish so much that we had our little room with the little black cushions and the records and all. On Monday I go to see about a job as a teacher, when I get a job then I will look for a flat for us. Darling, I love you, write many letters and tell me you love me, tell me you will be my wife and love me forever. I love you so much, so much.
Stuart loves Astrid forever.’

"We were in America when the cat licked John’s nose, and he started stroking it. Very much him. I never saw John as a hard bastard at all. Never saw him bite, or be disrespectful. I miss him a great deal." ~ Robert Whitaker

John Lennon at the South Australian Hotel in Adelaide, Australia | 12 June 1964
[…] The picture of John Lennon was lying on the floor when some clumsy fool stood on it," Mr Findlay said. "The glass smashed, leaving a scar on John's face." […] "I told John (Lennon) the story of what had happened to his painting and he said 'I rather like the idea of getting a footprint on my cheek'. ~ Peter Findlay
