my johnnyboy/ponycake headcanons!
• the most CLINGY couple known to man, like every second that johnny and pony are together in a safe environment? holding hands, linked arms, ANYTHING thats physical contact
• ponyboy is a night owl meanwhile johnny is a morning person. this dude could be awake at the ass crack of dawn just staring and pony sleep
• got caught kissing/making out (they are fricking hormonal teenagers guys please) by dally and forced him to not utter a word about it because they know about him having a job (my au)
• whenever they get to sit next to each other in school, these boys are always holding hands underneath the desks or passing notes to each other
• kept their relationship a secret from the gang for like 7 months but then they decided they wanted to be more obvious (more physical contact, flirting with each other, etc..) but the gang didnt pick up on it because they assumed that was normal for the two. eventually they got tired of it and just kissed in front of the gang because those mfs were OBLIVIOUS
• pony reads to johnny (its a given at this point)
• johnny taught pony of to do those cool knife tricks. yk the ones where the swing the switchblade in their hands?
• when darry found out the two were dating, he told johnny he would have to sleep on the couch. when darry woke up, he found pony sound asleep with johnny on the couch. he then is giving them more restrictions on where they can sleep, but somehow pony and johnny have found a way to get past them. after about week of this darry gives up
• before they started dating pony would draw johnny so much he has his features memorized. like every inch of his sketch book was covered with doodles and/or sketch of johnny.
• pony has glasses but refuses to wear them cus he thinks he looks dorky in them. but around johnny, he wears them after much convincing from him
• they would for sure be heartstopper fans. i dont make the rules
• pony has a small little charm on a silver chain (a small sun carved out of wood) that johnny made him for his birthday
• pony can cook well when he is alone, but when hes with johnny? the kitchen becomes a fucking MESS. ingredients everywhere, millions of dishes in the sink, and the two boys are just having the time if their lives “cooking” in there
• cat person ponyboy, dog person johnny
• they go to the lot and just sit in silence while cuddling
• johnny goes to all of ponys track meets and cheers him on
