like, when you think about what V is capable of, what they achieve, and the means in which they achieve it… V is an absolute lunatic. just slaughtering scores and scores of people. getting shot in the head, getting their synapses fried - literally dies multiple times only to just GET BACK UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. and they just. go fuck up whoever it was that fucked them over. V is absolutely terrifying and i fucking love it. not to mention the way V comes off to the normal person. like when V is having their little talks with johnny. just staring into space, i bet their facial expressions change too. like that one part where johnny makes fun of V so V makes fun of him so johnny flips them off and V flips him off back. like imagine seeing that as an NPC, having literally no clue what the fuck this person is doing. it’s so hilarious.

The Johnny in your head is "Johnny As He Wants to be Seen," The Legend of the Silverhand, built on urban legend and his own self-image. He's the hero who saves the day by nuking Arasaka and getting everyone else out. He's the badass rockerboy who stood up against Adam Smasher, he took charge of the Machine Gun when the guy got blasted, because that's how Johnny sees himself, as a hero. There is no Morgan Blackhand because Johnny saw himself in Morgan's place.

No, in reality, he didn't. He DID meet with Adam but only because Adam was swinging around his Robo-Peen at everything that didn't have an Arasaka Logo. Shaitan fought him, Johnny fought him, Spider Murphy fought him, Morgan fought him. Everyone and their mother saw the dude rampaging and killing.

Johnny didn't drop the nuke (that was Morgan), he didn't take charge with the gun (that was Shaitan who survived), and he wasn't doing it for the little guy because he was literally receiving a big fat check from Militech to be on the Op. Johnny in your head is just this self-aggrandizing dude who's trying to pass himself off as cool to his roommate.
