reigen appreciates the help but also feels that mandatory existential crisis coming

(thank you anon for requesting!! apparently when someone puts “reigen” and “bonding” together in a sentence I just read it as “plants”. helps that I hc teru to be the one most into the whole plant thing out of the four esper kids too. they have a generally good time)

“Are you sure you don’t want me to get that as well, Reigen-san?”

Reigen clenched his teeth on his instinctive reply as he hauled the cumbersome clay pot up higher. His already-sore biceps strained from the effort.

“Oh no no no, it’s, it’s uh, much heavier than it looks, kid. I don’t want you to, to overtax yourself…”

He glanced over to see Teruki gazing back with wide, too-innocent eyes, the corners of his mouth twitching. The kid was practically skipping, toting the four bags of potting soil, acidifier, and gravel – rocks, for Christ’s sake – like they were filled with nothing more than marshmallows.

Reigen told himself it was just the psychic powers. There was no way the kid was that much stronger than he was.

GRAVE SCENE:

[Amaya looks up at the statue of Queen Sarai.] “Hello, big sister.”

[She kneels and then lights the candles.]

“You were my hero. Perfect, strong, enduring, compassionate… and I am really sorry big sister, I have failed you. I had your boys safely with me, but they’re missing now.”

GOODBYE SCENE WITH GREN:

[Puts her finger on Gren’s lips, shushing him]

“I trust you, you’ve been my voice. Now you will become my hands to save the boys.”

[Gren bows & then Amaya pulls him into a hug.]

I ended up finishing this thing for Serizawa week AU prompt anyway because I have no self control. The second batch of screenshots comes from a joke Twitter thread I did a while ago of…fake Ace Attorney localization style names for MP100 characters kdfgjjgfkld. Some explanation under the cut…??
