i always try to put some kind of comment/reaction in the tags of the art i reblog (on my sideblog), even if it's just a 'wow!' or 'cool art!', bc as an artist i know all other artists crave comments on their work and i wish this was more of a thing on here!! so many people just reblog and tag the fandom or just 'art' and it's like. ok but what did you think of it..... can u let me know perhaps.... doesn't have to be very descriptive i swear just a lil tag. just a crumb 👉👈

the vampire lestat is a good show bc it mentioned the rothko chapel once and now i spend every waking moment thinking about mark rothko and how his work relates to these fictional vampires. anyway what if i did a companion piece to my armand/rothko art with daniel and another rothko painting haha jk. unless?
ok two people have told me to do it so i will. question is, which rothko for daniel? im thinking either a red one (bc haha. blood. but also that fucking blouse armand got him) or a nice orange/yellow one (for armand's eyes + walking in the sun)

somewhat pertinent: Jacob Geller did a video essay about 7 years ago titled, "who's afraid of modern art?" and I think it captures some of these ideas about abstract art (and of course, modern art) beautifully.
