Yeah I’d have to agree with that statement, pretty sure I might be insane for being close to you. Guess we’ll have to see where the roads take us…but probably.

Well it’s nice to know that hasn’t changed, I really feel for whom ever you end up marrying. Well I mean…that note may or may not be lie, they’ll have to find me to figure it out. 

Oh, that person is probably going to be insane to start with if they want to marry me. I am still putting my nets on you did though. 

You know I was actually hoping you wouldn’t notice the lack of air holes, you climbing out threw a wrench in my real plans. 

I’ve watched too many crime shows to know to look for airholes. Good thing I always carry a note saying ‘Josh did it’ in my pocket in case that happens. 

So instead of unpacking I’ve spent the day watching horror movies instead, nothing creepier than it getting dark in an apartment that is filled with boxes and low lighting. 

And to think I made the mistake of hiding in one of those boxes. I forgot to cut air holes, you almost had a sticky situation on your hands.

Oooh, I’ve never heard anyone say that before. But I was gonna say… Gonna have to watch myself if we ever hang out.

He would usually say it about me getting ready for school at such a slow pace. It must be a Kentucky thing. Don’t worry I know how to avoid getting into trouble. 

Wait… Have you spent a week in jail?

Not a week, no. It’s a saying, my dad says it all the time. Maybe he spent a week in jail. 

For a short month, February always feels like it takes an entire year.

I feel this in my soul. January flies by then February always goes in slower than a week in the jail. 

Oh, I love the beach.  I love any place sunny and warm, really.  I do love the way Stonecastle looked in the fall, but I’d like a palm tree now and then, you know?  Didn’t see many of those back in London, that’s for sure.  And I’d be game for a buddy if you are!  I promise I’m not always this chatty if you need a bit of quiet.  I can do quiet, relaxing face masks and drinks.

Oh yeah, I totally get that. Like it’s nice we actually see the seasons in Stonecastle but I would not complain about living somewhere hot all the time. Oh man, you’re from London? That’s so cool. What’s brought you all the way to Stonecastle? Oh don’t worry, I will start talking more shit the more I drink. 

If that’s not enough, then I’ll even add that as much as I like the cold, frostbite is honestly such a big fear of mine.  I came alone, really, so going skiing and potentially getting frostbit would be terrifying since no one would notice if I went missing on the mountain — so I’m telling myself it’s for my own good that I just shop and skate and chill.  Plus, the whole recharging bit … it’s a win-win, I think.

Right? I mean this is cute and all but I am much more a beach bum. Which is why I appreciate there being stuff to do where you can be hot. Well, if you need a buddy to do things on the ground, in the here, I am here. Exactly. Why do you need anything else when there is a spa and a bar in walking distance from one another. 

It just seems like it looks and sounds so much better than it actually is — my fingers are bloody icicles by the time I’ve stepped as far as the curb, couldn’t imagine trying to get them to cooperate with me on a mountain.  I could cope with ice skating though, it’s a bit less stressful … but the spa definitely takes the cake.  There were shops I wanted to see, but then there were the hot springs …  Honestly, I might do the same as you, and maybe enjoy more of the views where it’s safe and warm inside.  Did you come along with anyone, or are you just having a self-care sort of weekend?

Right? Like you could just fall head first into the snow, no thank you. I love looking at the snow but from the outside. Like from the sauna or the bar. Ice skating, yes I could handle and shopping for sure. I have friends here but I mainly came myself for some recharging. How about you?
