Elrose closed the comment section of the Long Awaited Changes post on Milo's Patreon becausssse I guess the heat from readers was too hot for the team to handle. Funny, because his book's message is to "keep fighting" but he decided to silence everybody.

No doubt that they'll just shutdown every comment section on Patreon if readers choose to move the conversation.

This is a villain of mine that I often use universally and I wanted to use him as another villain for my Age of Scorpius rewrite.

Harbor is a Gemini pureblood. Both his parents are Gemini and he thinks of himself as a highborn of Gardian. His mother is Verena (changed her to be a Gemini Leader.) He is callous, snarky and clever. Harbor tends to be the most vicious when he's tasked to hunt down detractors like Rieka, so he finds himself being critical of Narah because he thinks she's too nice or easy to fool.

Age of Scorpius rewrite in my head but I want an actual antagonist who I have fun writing or reading about, so I added a religion that the Aries people practice. This is a priest of Solis (the sun god). They're also called Flamekeepers. Aries people believe they're closer to Solis because of their magic linking directly to fire and power of the sun.

This guy, Auburn, is a head priest who lives at the Temple of Solis within Solstice (changed the name of The Hub.) He takes his worship seriously and has a skewed perspective on Scorpio. He believes that, if Solis created the holy law, then he would never disobey, having no reason to ever believe Solis was wrong. Which basically means he thinks Scorpio are wretched, craggy things and believes Aries are superior.

Chapter 38

I never noticed this scene before because I was just focused on the later conversation about the democracy and voting system of Gardian that's brought up later in this chapter, but wtf.

There's a lot of loaded intention in this scene where Atlas carelessly swings around a cursed sword, specifically scaring Chase and Avia. It's meant to be a demonstration on how the Callexus cannot reverse the immortality placed upon an immortal being (Sora,) but also I couldn't help but feel like this was a response to how Chase and Avia were treated as the enemies after the group had an argument about Narah joining them.

Narah's brainwashing has worn off at this time, but Avia's not wrong to be cautious about her. Rieka and Kaia accuse Avia of being unreasonable and overbearing. Chase doesn't stand up for Rieka and Kaia says he should be ashamed of himself before kicking he and Avia out of the house. In this chapter, they come back to talk about the Callexus and Atlas acts as a barrier between Rieka/Narah and Avia/Chase, like he's already aware that Avia is a "threat" and must protect the lesbians. The narrative wants nobody to be on Avia's side.

The sword swinging that scares Chase and Avia feels as if this is a "gotcha" to intimidate them because Atlas is just swinging a sword around, but he was acting as the protector of Rieka and Narah. This signals to me that this is the narrative saying, "this is what happens if you don't agree with us. Just keeping you in line."

Finally drew my favorite little ship! I wanted to draw the two wearing something that matches.

Chapter 12

I already couldn't stand that Rieka criticizes how Avia sits, like sitting the way she finds comfortable is a problem. She didn't even do anything and Rieka just has to be unbearable about it.

Then Avia's tone as she is unsure about Rieka welcoming Kaia into their travelling group is just fucked. They just met Kaia, who never once mentioned Quinn's name (her dead brother), but Rieka wants to let her join because she needs numbers. She even ignores Chase because, I guess, she is ignoring everybody who she thinks will defy her.

Chapter 26

This was the scene that made me believe Rieka is just a terrible person, and Kaia too since she decided to be Rieka's speaker (even though Rieka doesn't want anybody speaking for her, she's totally fine when someone does speak for her.)

Sure she helped Chase pull Avia to shore and stayed as he healed her, but the way she reacted as Chase and Avia were just bantering is fucking weird and mean. She does this a lot when Avia gets Chase's attention, like Rieka is jealous (even though she's not into men fyi.) She cringes when Chase and Avia are having a moment? Not even ask if Avia is okay?

Such as after they find a cave and investigate it, Avia doesn't want to rest because she doesn't like showing vulnerability but Chase convinces her to rest anyways. Rieka just sees this as "Avia needing a dose of her own medicine." And when Chase and Avia sit together by the fire, Kaia and Rieka suddenly become distant and start being mean girls about Chase.

I kept saying, "but wouldn't Gemini be the ones who would become the oppressive regime because their Gemini soldiers and Leader were killed by Scorpio people?"

Then I see CheatSheetProductions' video and they showed the old version/premise of The Zodiac Turner and it finally clicked everything together.

The Zodiac Turner sounds corny, yes, but it makes more sense to me than the Age of Scorpius lmao.

But also this just makes me assume: Milo took the old history from The Zodiac Turner, planted it into The Age of Scorpius and stitched the bonkers reason why the Scorpio are both the oppressed and the oppressors, so that's why the mural history scene broke my brain.

I was so angry that I closed my reading app and wouldn't come back to the book until the next day. I was so done with this dogpiling on Avia because I didn't understand what the hell these three were talking about. Conspiring against Avia like she's a horrible person when she just didn't do anything to deserve this. Like they're comparing her to the Stellarium? Since when was Avia as bad as a whole fucking regime?

I've not been drawing lately but I really want to come back and draw my beloved Lord X x Kolossos fanart. I miss those two evil goofballs being lovey dovey.
