a second quick post from your friendly fyjjong admin: none of this is easy for anyone, especially for jinki, kibum, minho and taemin. they felt safe enough with shawols today to show that in a public setting - to be vulnerable and open about their continuing grief and how much they miss jonghyun. we need to remember that moving forward and be kind to them, just as we need to be kind to each other. each and every person within this fandom is dealing with their grief, longing and sadness in a way that is unique to who they are and we need to do our best to be there for each other even if we tend to have slight difference in opinion. jinki, kibum, minho and taemin stressed today that they want our fandom to stop with the fighting, and we need to do our best to respect what they have asked. this doesn’t just include direct fights but passive aggression, guilt tripping, policing of emotions and the pointing of fingers as well. (a few examples of behavior like this: people accusing both the members and other shawols of forgetting jonghyun, people trying to make those who aren’t ready for the comeback mentally feel as if they’re not being faithful to the members or good enough fans, etc.) we can’t read the minds of the members, but i feel what can be confirmed is that they made it clear for a second time this year today that shinee will always be five, that jonghyun will always be a member of the group, and that they will always include him whenever it is the most comfortable for them. moving forward (personally, i prefer to use “moving forward” rather than “moving on”), jonghyun will remain in the hearts and minds of the other members and shawols. he may not be physically present but, as fans, we can continue to do our best to make it feel as if he’s always here with us. share memories about him (of all variety), spread his music, share quotes from blue night radio. let’s do our best to help people remember everything he did and everything he was, rather than let him become a taboo topic or simply how we lost him (though it’s important to not gloss over this either). as an ending note: please support the story of light in whatever way you can, and also continue to support poet | artist as well. (click on the titles of the albums to get linked to resource posts for both.) if we do our best to do what we can we can achieve the goal of bringing in accolades for both as the end of the year rolls in.

shinee day - tenth anniversary party ♡ 180527 source: justrolyn op: they left his spot in the choreo. it’s clearly for five people and the empty space just moves around. if jonghyun’s spot was on the outside they looked off center because they didn’t compensate. if he was in the middle, the whole was in the middle. sometimes the members would swap spots but the stage was always for five. jinki took his spot during the lifting part. if this makes sense. “view” was the only song they compensated for his space, sometimes.
