The jirai community has a massive issue with cyberbullying and I'm not saying this as one of your own, I'm saying this as a grown ass adult who thinks it's insane that every few months, many of you dogpile onto someone and ruin their social life, or an adult comes in and offloads their mental illness onto a bunch of teens, and in the end, there's always someone who's dead.

And to the jirai haters who see this and go "waow based", I mean you too. The jirai hater fad, too, has placed immense stress on many CHILDREN who did not deserve it.

Cyberbullying is a crime. Death threats, rape threats, encouraging people to cut or kill themselves, the type of pointed harrassment @/the-one-who-you-wouldnt-name is currently dishing out, that is a persecutable crime. Name, if you read this, I'm unsure if you're an adult, but if you are, this can net you up to 10 years in prison (provided one of your victims kills themselves, which you said was your intention). It's a despicably light punishment for what's essentially murder, but a lot can happen in ten years.

This isn't funny, this isn't cute, this isn't edgy, this is a real life felony being committed right in front of my eyes and it pisses me off that Tumblr's report system allows little room to intervene for people who are not the target of the harrassment.

What's an attention grabbing gimmick or petty revenge to you is lifechanging violence, abuse and trauma to someone else that you, too, would be affected by if it happened to you.

I know this is a community of mostly teens, but the adults among us have the responsibility to keep them safe, which includes not inciting severe harrassment, even against other adults AND perpetrators.

I'm not going to try to appeal to the conscience of people who garbage picked their moral compass from the bottom of a latrine, but know there are real life consequences for your actions. The internet isn't just a fantasy world full of dolls to play with, it's an extension of the real world. Act accordingly.
