Hanna was bubbly, her eyes transfixed on her partner as for the first time in what felt like a millenia, she had received news that the two would be taking down the great and legendary Leviathan, a monster that few would ever dare to fight, and even so with only 2 people. Timothy came over with a cup full of blood, the smell tingling her senses as it smelled like coffee. Timothy drank a coke, taking a sip of it as she drank her own cup, smiling. “Are you sure we can do this?” Timothy asked, unsure and unconfident as he always had been. Hanna just scoffed and giggled as she hit his arm lightly in the dark room. “C’mon partner, we aren’t a weak group, we can totally handle ourselves out there, not even a legendary monster can stop us!” Timothy just laughed as he took another drink and looked at Hanna, his golden eyes staring in her crimson red ones. “Hey Hanna.” She smiled at him. “Yeah?” He looked to the side as if he couldn’t say something and spoke again. “Stick by me… ok?” Hanna looked surprised at what he said, not understanding the second meaning he had put inside it and just shook her head confidently. “I’ll never leave it partner!”
Hanna rode on Timothy as he made large strides in his werewolf form as they made their way down a cave that held a crystalline structure, water held in the center as the made their way deeper and deeper. The two overcame many puzzles that would open doors within the cave that were meant to hide the monstrosity that was their target, though the prize being more than enough to afford them a leave for more than 4 months due to it’s massive prize. So they worked harder than they ever had before, not letting any of the smaller creatures stop them, undead that would come in droves moaning their shrill cries to sway the hunters from their course, other statues of segmented stone, gargoyles that came alive to stop them only to be crushed by both hunters, and finally the wraiths that floated around of old hunters who’s lives were claimed by the teeth of the leviathan or the monsters they had disregarded. Finally, after the two came to a place where the crystalline pillar disappeared, there lay before them a large stone held with chains that were locked as a seal to only allow people in, and nothing out. “Hanna wait…” She shook her head and looked at Timothy “We have to go Tim, we accepted this quest and even then you know what this thing can do if it got out.” Timothy suddenly grabbed her arm with his large hand and suddenly hugged her. “This could be our last time together partner…. I don’t want to quit living just yet…. just…. give me a moment please.” Her eyes were wide like the first time, surprised by his bold attitude to do something like this out of nowhere until finally she hugged him back and the two stood there, for Timothy, an eternity he wanted to merely stay but Hanna soon let go and took out the keys. Timothy watched as the chains dispelled in flashes of brilliant light and the stone slowly began to move until there before them a large gaping maw of darkness that somehow felt so fresh of air. Hanna ran inside without hesitation and Timothy after his partner, the stone closing behind them as chains sealed the stone once again. There, in a monstrous cavern of unprecedented was fresh water lake… almost like a sea and there in the middle a large shadow. The shadow of a serpent. Hanna looked around as Timmy got in front of her, keeping her safe. “Pillars…. and look, they look weird?” Timothy looked at the pillars that were scattered around the lake, seeming to give off a clear radiance at its outer shell as if something was different from any normal stone. He could tell it wasn’t marble but after much questioning, he couldn't figure it out. Suddenly, the water began to emerge as it bubbled over, the head of the serpent breaking the surface as the tower of the legendary creature hung above them. Hanna and Timothy both spoke in their Russian and French tongues “*HOLY SHIT*” Immediately Timothy pushed Hanna away as the serpent spout high powered water at where they were, Timothy barely dodging in time. “Nice job Tim!” Timothy grimaced a little but began to run as Hanna did, his legs beginning to speed up as a true werewolf and Hanna ripped her wings from her back, releasing them as she flew low toward the marble rock, jagged and destroyed. The leviathan reared back a little and swam underneath the water, fast and quickly towards where the two were positioned, until finally it emerged again and shot water at Timothy. Hanna spoke Russian as she landed on a pillar, tasting the contents, feeling she knew it. She was right, salt. salt…. SALT! She spoke Russian, rushed by her revelation. “*Tim! Knock down the pillars into the water! Leviathan is weak to salt! Thats why theres fresh water in here!*” Timothy sped up, keeping away from the high powered water that trailed behind him until finally he jumped. “ENGLISH YOU RUSSIAN PRUDE!” Hanna smirked, noting that to get him for it later. “Knock down the pillars you brainless wolf!” They both laughed maniacally as he landed on a pilled, Leviathan hold it’s head up, a large mass of water gathering as if defying gravity above its head. Timothy launched himself at the wall and rebounded off, smashing into a cracked part of the pillar, smashing it to pieces. The leviathan launched the water at Timothy, though too late as he hit the surface of the lake as salt began to fill the water. The leviathan let out a mighty wail and thrashed in the water, swimming towards the fresher source. Hanna began to laugh as she saw the Leviathan submerge, but slowly began to stop as she realized something. Timothy hadn’t come up for air. She jumped and fell into the water quickly and swam, opening her eyes under the freshwater. She knew though once her eyes began to sting that she was where the pillar had fallen and there between two heavy rocks was a blonde human Timothy, not moving. Immediately Hanna freaked out and swam faster toward him and began pushed the rocks on top of him, putting all her strength into it. Finally her eyes started to glow and she pushed the rocks again, this time shoving them off with force, and grabbed Timothy. She used the rock he had laid on under the water and jumped, and exploded from the surface, landing on the jagged marble rock. She immediately set him down, and could see he wasn’t breathing, her words turning Russian again as she began to frantically perform CPR on him. “*Get up get up get up get up! Come on! You said to stick by you, then what are you doing… get up Tim please…. Timothy don’t do this.*” She pumped air into his lungs until suddenly she felt his hand on her head and his lips move a moment, kissing her. She jumped back as her face turned red. He turned over and coughed up water, hacking through the ordeal, not realizing what he unconsciously did. “-cough cough- Hanna…. what happened? Wheres the Leviathan?” She didn’t answer him, obviously conscious of what he had done. Finally she spoke as his eyes began to make her feel odd, like she was burning, but a nice burn. “Just break down the pillars wolfie… please….” Timothy caught his breath in time and destroyed more of the pillars until finally the shock of the salt water lake caused the serpent to rise to the top, dead. Timothy sat beside Hanna as the two rested, Hanna turning to Timothy this time. “Timothy… I’m…. I’m sorry you almost died and… for some of the things i’ve done to you in the past… I just want you to know you mean a lot to me.” Timothy looked at her and suddenly began to laugh, Hanna’s face turning red until she heard him speak. “I would have done the same Hanna, after all…. we’re comrades you and I. We always stick together, just like i promised you.”
