Announcing... JILY WEEK 2026! 🌟🌟🌟

Kelsey ( @kay-elle-cee ) and I are thrilled to host Jily Week for the third year in a row. After being treated to 80+ creations each of the past two years, we can’t wait to see what all of you talented people will come up with this year. GET EXCITED for the week of August 17th to 23rd!!

To participate, post a creative work corresponding to the daily prompt – fanfiction, fanart, playlists, metas, moodboards, etc. – anything goes! You can participate in as few or as many days as possible, but we challenge everyone to try and create something for every prompt, even if it's only a hundred-word drabble or a 5-minute sketch! Don't stress about meeting the exact prompt or the deadline - the most important thing is to have fun with it!

Remember to tag your works with #jily week 2026, mention @sunshinemarauder and @kay-elle-cee, and add any fic you write to the Jily Week 2026 AO3 Collection.

We all know the Marauders spent much of their Hogwarts years in and out of detention. Though Lily may have been a Prefect, she wasn’t so removed from their antics. Who’s the unlucky one this time?

Chapter Twenty-Nine

JAMES

“I have a wager for you,” she says.

“Oh?”

“I’m sure you’re a decent skater –”

“–ouch, Evans–”

She continues, bolder. “But I was wondering if you could keep up with me.”

He pauses his jogging to blurt out a laugh. “Keep up with you?” he says, and – fuck, he can’t help it – runs a hand through his hair, ruffles it so he can feel the strands swoop down in the way he likes it. “I think you’re confused.”

“Am I?” She stands in front of him, hands on her hips, eyes twinkling.

“I’m a professional skater, see?”

“I hadn’t realized,” she deadpans.

But he persists. “I might not be able to do a triple axel, but I certainly, certainly will have no issue surpassing you.”

“I can’t do a triple axel either,” she says. “So clearly we’re on the same level.”

“Clearly.” Her flush has returned with a vengeance, and he’s sure his is peeking through.

Jily AU Week Day 2 Prompt: Muggle AU

Summary: Newly-elected Prime Minister Potter has his work cut out for him. If only a certain red-headed MP weren’t deliberately making life harder for him.

James has just delivered a particularly ribald answer to a question on nuclear power when it’s her turn. He leans on the podium with one arm and turns sideways, looking back to find her.

The Honorable Member for Hastings and Rye sits tucked up on a backbench among a bunch of senile old men from Labour, a vibrant shock of youth and color among drab suits and grey hair. The Conservatives are still booing him, but she takes no notice. She stands with her shoulders back, her red hair tucked in a practical bun, and a vintage scarf tied elegantly around her neck.

James sends her a winning smile.

“The Prime Minister may not be aware,” she begins, ever so respectfully, “that in the month since he took up residence at Number 10, there has been a fifteen percent increase in total household expenditures.”

She’s suddenly drowned out by a wave of discontented noises from James’s Labour mates. She’s one of Vance’s and fuck it all, why didn’t Vance warn James about this?

I haven’t done my TikTok time lapse of this one yet, and I rushed the background and bedding so don’t come for me over those 😂
