A deep exhale emitted from you. Here goes nothing, your new home. Clemens Point, as it is called. Meeting Arthur, repeatedly, aching for a new way of living — all of it was meant for you and that you're sure of. Everything happens for a reason, this especially.
Holding your dress with both hands, you convoyed up the hill until you made contact with tents, a fire and voices. The first one you recognized was Sadie, then Tilly's. No sign of Arthur's.
You met with Lenny down the way, you should have asked him if he was around. Your excitement simply cannot be contained.
Sadie and Tilly turned to face you. Their faces lit up, mainly Tilly's. "Well I'll be a mad woman...it is you! How are you?" Tilly asked you, ambling closer, taking your hands in hers. "Hello Tilly, and Sadie. I am well, and yourself?" "I am quite alright, I'd say. Living life to the fullest, as people say." "That's good then, Tilly. Really. And Sadie?"
She chuckled and put her pistol in her holster. "I am mighty fine. Tired but, ain't that the usual?" Her raspy voice made a statement and you nodded at her, understanding. "Usual it is. Sorry to hear such, I hope you can rest up soon." You responded and she bowed her head slightly in agreement.
"May I pick your brain for a moment?" You said to Tilly. The woman cocked an eyebrow. "Anytime." "Do you happen to know where Arthur is? Is he here?" "Arthur? To my knowing, I ain't too sure. He's been out and about since yesterday morning. He seems...different."
Different?
Swallowing hard, you breathed in deeply and let it out sharply. "In a negative manner?" "Perhaps so. Just in his own world, I suppose." Tilly admitted. That's not any good. You sighed. "Thank you for the insight, Tilly. I'll let you know if I see him around. Have a good day, ladies." You spoke to the two of them, and they gave you a gentle wave goodbye.
You took notice of Arthur's area. His empty cot, dusty chest full of whatever he so desires, a mirror with a slim crack throughout. He's gone. Not forever, you're sure. But more than likely to clear his head. He mentioned that very action once.
"Now what do we got here?" A thick masculine voice called out from behind you. "What?" You said. You realized who it was. Dutch, the myth, the man and the so called legend that everyone profounds him to be. He's eerie. There's something spooky about him. "Didn't expect to see you around here...not without my boy Arthur, that is."
Standing tall and proud, you replied.
"I am in search of him, if I am honest. Do you know where I may be able to find him? He and I need to talk, it's been a while." You're being vulnerable, but you have to be. If Arthur isn't okay, you demand to be one of the first to know.
Dutch seems like he's got a perky head on his shoulders. He has to know something.
"I'll tell you this much, I ain't too sure where he is...he left yesterday morning. I'd talk to John, he may or may not know... Arthur used to be my concern, but a mama bird has to let her baby fly." Is he drunk?
Side eyeing him, you slowly walked away towards Abigail. She and John are together, she'll know where he's at.
Dutch is weird.
"Abigail, hello. Do you know where John is?" You questioned her. Jack was in her arms, whining about something or another. "That damn man is out of my sight! Find him yourself!" Oh. She's upset. Backing away, you watched as she and Jack went into their open tent and sat down, both mumbling and complaining.
Once again, John must've been a pain in the ass.
From your field of vision, you spotted John at the small lake. Seemingly, he was fishing. You didn't take him for the kind of man to have a hobby such as fishing. It's heart warming.
John, please know where Arthur is!
Speed walking towards the man, you cleared your throat and he shifted his head back, taking note of you. You two haven't spoke one on one before. "Can I help you?" His tone wasn't helpful. It was irritated. Licking your lips and sitting in the chair beside him, you nodded.
“Do you have any idea where Arthur is? Dutch told me you'd be the man to ask." John scoffed at your words and rolled his eyes, casting his line once again. The lake breeze was endearing. Felt nice. "Of course he did. Dutch can't handle doin' much on his own it seems." Why is everyone so bothered all of the time! It is unbearable!
You closed your eyes and put your head in your hands. Stress is an understatement. You walked from home in this heat. You'll be damned if you don't see him today.
"Yes or no? That's all I need to know." You made clear that you only want to see Arthur. You miss him. "I do know where he is. He'll be back before sundown. Stop fretting, damn." His voice is about as raspy as Sadie's. It's humorous.
Standing up with haste, you nodded. "Are you being truthful? I plan to stay here until sunset if you're being honest." "Stay then. I ain't a fibber." John retorted. "You're apart of a gang. Yes, you are." You said back, your tone demeaning. He glared at you. "Do we have a problem?" He set his rod down and stood up. "No. I was stating a fact." You put your hands on your hips.
John attempted to hide his half cocked smirk. "You're a smart ass. Go on now, he'll be back soon." You know he's not going to be hurtful towards you. Arthur would handle that. You'd hope everyone here knows that.
Until you see Arthur again, all you can do is reside at his cot. Waiting, and waiting, and more sitting around for the man.
The things you do.
-
Picking at your nails, you heard the sound of men talking. Common noise around here. The ratio of men to women is astronomical. More women should be involved if they truly want to stand for something.
You swear you've been here for hours. It's past sundown and your patience is at its breaking point.
You didn't tell your parents where you went, only that you'd be gone out and about safely. They were too busy and caught up in their schemes to care, as always.
All of this waiting and pondering is making you grumpy. You can't help it. You're tired, you want to rest in your bed and sleep until sunrise tomorrow.
Your analog watch read it was nearing ten o'clock. You left at noon. The crack of it. This is outrageous.
Right as you stood up, you grabbed ahold of your satchel and heard a voice behind you. A delicate, dainty one.
"You're waiting for Arthur, aren't you?"
You spun around. Mary-Beth. She and Arthur have an unbreakable bond. She seems darling enough.
"I sure am. Do you have any idea when he'll be back?" You asked her. She smiled and pointed towards Dutch's tent. "He's here. He just arrived. I'm not too sure he noticed you were here, so I thought I'd might as well tell you. You appear miserable." She held her hands together.
At last.
A soft redness filled your cheeks. You shook your head and patted her shoulder gently. "Thank you, you're kind. You have decency." That she does. Everyone else is too caught up in their own things to be selfless.
Marching to Dutch's tent, you walked in like you've been around here since the start. Your stride bold and your stance cold. You first made eye contact with Dutch, then Micah and lastly, Arthur himself.
"You...what are you doing here?" Arthur cooed out, his voice lowering an octave. "What am I doing here? More like, where have you been? I've waited for you all day, you told me I've been accepted." You took a step closer to him and his hands went to my upper arms, keeping you close, stilling you away from Micah.
Dutch bellowed obnoxiously before clapping his hands together. "This! This is normal people drama! Arthur, you ain't going soft on me now, are ya?" Dutch shook his shoulder dramatically and you grunted, pulling away from Arthur. "Where have you been?" "Out riding. What else!?" Arthur had a confused look on his face.
“No one aside from John was clear with me about your whereabouts. I've been stressed. I- I've, I've missed you, Arthur... your letter, I wanted to come see you as soon as possible." "I can see that darlin'." Arthur shook his head moderately and opened the cloth up, "C'mon now. Let's talk."
Following him out of the tent, you grabbed his arm to keep speed. "I don't like Dutch." You said quietly. He held back a snicker. "You ain't alone. Not very many people do. I'm startin' to question my own personal stance on the man." Arthur agreed. It's a shame, he didn't seem too bad at first. Most people don't.
Reaching his cot, the two of you sat down and he held your hands. "I was riding. It's what I do to clear my head. Ride for hours, days... Hell, I've been gone for a week." His voice was small, a whisper. "What has you all over the place?" "It's not so much of a 'what' as it is a 'who'. Because you do, I'm losin' my mind." "Oh, this again!" "No, it's different." Arthur countered.
Again, different.
"You're now with us, and it won't be a back and forth thing any longer. It's added a lot to my plate, baby, you've got to understand that." You felt a shift in your stomach. Not a bad one, but it was noticeable. "I'm aware, Arthur. I've chosen this for myself, don't make yourself so upset over a choice I made!" You demanded and he shook his head before running his fingers through his hair, his hat sat beside him.
"I worry about you. More than I have with anyone. I mean, do you even know how to use a gun? How to think fast on your feet? Control a horse attached to a wagon? Anything that may get our asses outta danger!?" "Of course I do! It's all common sense, if I'm not worried, why should you be?"
Your guy's logic is so very separate. You two were raised different, had opposite upbringings. Things aren't the same for either of you.
Arthur reached a hand to your cheek, stroking your face lovingly. His eyes were weak, staring at you with emotion you've never seen painted on his face before.
"You're so brave, it scares me...but it impresses me too." Arthur snickered and you grinned, tilting your head down as you giggled. "I'm serious though!" You protested. "I am going to be a fine asset, I promise you Arthur!" You don't know if you'll ever get through to him.
He's such a deep man. You admire him. Complex yet in a beautiful way. You're so drawn to him.
"Alright, I'm in defeat. I'll take your word for it then." He didn't seem to speak with humor, but rather concern. You also caressed his face with both hands before resting your forehead against his. You don't care who sees. Everyone already knows you spent your entire day here waiting for him.
What's affection to them?
You felt his free hand graze your upper thigh, meshing it playfully before he placed a kiss to your lips, his scruff moving against your chin. You gleamed into it, pressing against and roaming your fingers in his hair. His hand slid to the back of your neck, holding it firmly in place as he touched your waist, then your stomach.
"You two are dank!" Karen spoke in her accent as she downed another beer. You took notice of her drinking habits. Arthur shooed her away, but ended the merciless kisses. "We've heard you and Sean countless times, that ain't any better!" Arthur yelled back and Karen laughed.
Funny.
"Do your parents know anything? At all?" Arthur questioned you. "Should they?" "No." His tone was stern. You understand that. "Then they never will." "I know." Arthur said, kissing the top of your head.
"I want to stay here tonight, with you." You whispered, glancing back down at the cot. "Are you sure?" Of course you are. You don't want to be anywhere else but with him. "I am sure." You made it clear, scorching over on the cot and giving him a honorary smile. He moved his hat and took off his oversized jacket, setting it down on the wooden crate.
Arthur got into the spring beside you, laying next to you and letting your head rest on his inner upper arm. "Get some sleep. I'll be right here when you wake up." He cooed to you, his fingers playing with loose strands of your hair.
One way you are absolutely sure this is where you're meant to be is because when you're becoming vastly tired, and you put your head to rest, thoughts don't run wild and you don't feel empty.
A Leon Kennedy x Reader story, Chapter 4, Preparations

A/n: Hi! Hope you all enjoy. Please check out my masterlist, there's a lot of stuff there. You can get to know me, you can see the rules of my blog and then you can see all of my fanfictions. You'll be able to find the previous chapters to this fic and upcoming ones. You'll also be able to find my Wattpad & AO3. Comments, reblogs & likes are appreciated. Thank you
You let out a yawn that did not go unnoticed by Jason. He began to tease you. "Someone's sleepy this morning? What were you doing last night, and make sure you tell me in fine detail." The cringy man winked at you and Kenzie smacked his upper arm. "Are you ever decent? Jeez Louise." The woman pushed him away and stood beside you.
You hid your laughter. You can tell Jason is light hearted. Harmless, as Kenzie said before. He seems to try and look past every dark moment. That is both healthy and dangerous, especially with how he is in particular.
"I'm sorry. Sometimes he's normal. Other times? Well, he can be uncalled for." Kenzie stated while helping you pack up duffel bags full of weaponry and attire.
Tomorrow, you and the team; Leon, Kenzie, Jason, Todd and yourself; Have a mission to Oregon. It'll be one helluva drive. From what you've gathered, you, Todd and Leon will be in the primary vehicle. Whereas Kenzie and Jason will follow behind.
It is supposed to be a simple data collection transaction. Supposedly, there's a forestry in North Oregon that has had recent reports of rabid creatures, leading to an older woman ending up on hospice from a bite. She can't recall what happened, but you're sure that's due to trauma.
It's not only that.
If this strain of disease leads back to anything, it could have connection to past Plaga reports. One thing you've been educated on is that, thats a worst case scenario.
Zipping up the final bag, you handed it to Jason and patted on it. "All set for the weaponry. Kenzie is finishing up the attire." "Gotcha." Jason carried the baggage away. "You're settling in nicely. Makes me happy to see. Been awhile since someone stuck around so comfortably."
You put your hands on your hips and traversed closer. Kenzie seems to have an anxious aura to her. As if she's worried she's responsible for Jason's actions, at all times. You breathed in a sharp breath and nodded. "Nothings going to break my stride, I can assure you." You said to her in a soft voice. She grinned cutely. "I know that." Fantastic.
The sound of the elevator door beeping was heard. Jason took the stairs. Gandering over, you watched as Leon and another woman exited out of it. You crossed your arms and listened to him speak.
"What's going on down here?" "We're packing for tomorrow. This is the last bag." Kenzie responded to his question, the sound of the bag being closed echoed throughout the spacious enclosed room. Leon cleared his throat, his hand going to his faint beard as he scratched it. The air was coursing, the breeze from the vents emitting as a new speed.
The room feels different as he enters it. You've began to notice this the second you met him. Leon has his own atmosphere. Maybe it's his demeanor, the way he carries himself. You aren't too sure, nor is it an issue whatsoever. Just something you've took note of.
"Well done, ladies. I hope Jason is of any help?" Leon spoke out, more of a concern than a real question. "He is." You mentioned, pointing at the back door and Leon nodded at the confirmation. He then stepped to the side and made the woman next to him more visible.
"This is Blaire. She's of the HR Rep team for the DSO. She's just tagging along with me for the day so, if either of you have any questions, she's your woman." That explains it. Human Resources, the best. In the Army, the idea hardly existed. Everyone fended for themselves and that was it.
You shook her hand. "Nice to meet you." She hummed. "Likewise." Her tone was stoic. Gave you off vibes.
Kenzie handed the bag to Jason when he made his way back. "Final one. Thank you, Jason." "You got it." The man grunted and held it tightly as he left the room once again.
"When you get the chance, meet me in my office, yeah? I'll be there most of the evening so, I won't be hard to find." Leon looked me directly in the eyes when speaking. I smiled at him in understatement. "Perfect. I'll leave you two to it. See you both around." Leon didn't use the elevator to leave. Instead, using the door that led to the basement floor.
The DSO HQ is ginormous. Not only is there damn near a billion floors, but the amount of rooms is chaotic. It's so easy to get lost. Thank goodness for the fact Kenzie and Jason seem to be everywhere all at once!
You took a glance at Leon as he walked down the hallway. He's a genuine man. You don't see that very often anymore. You're glad he's your boss, above all else.
-
A knock to his office door, it only took one.
"Come in."
You opened the wooden door leading to his main office. Leon was standing up, shuffling through his bookshelf, seemingly searching for something. "Hey," you said to him, your voice monotone but friendly. "Hey there... Everything go well with packing up for the trip tomorrow?" Leon questioned you, reverting his attention.
"Oh yeah, for sure. Kenzie and I also parked the two trucks in the front for when we depart in the morning." "Wonderful. You two are ahead of the game. Thanks." Leon replied to your statement.
You've never been more ready. Tomorrow is a day of resilience. You must prove your worth at the DSO. Leon will be there, Kenzie and Jason too, alongside Todd. No severe mistakes can commence. You refuse.
Being in the Army once before, you're confident. This is a different line of work. Some may argue it's more dangerous. Whatever the case, you're ensured of your safety. All that matters now is that all is sorted and set up for the morning, departure takes place at four in the morning sharp.
“Do you feel ready? I mean, to travel that far of a distance for a simple research intake. Unfortunately, it's just part of the job." Leon spoke aloud, leaning his hands back on his desk and looking at you. "I want to make sure you feel secure." He added on.
"I am ready. I promise. No need to worry about me." You chuckled out, giving him a genuine smile. "You mentioned earlier you needed to talk to me...? What's up?" You asked. "Right," he cleared his throat and clapped his hands together.
"The Pres wanted me to ask how you've been settling in... Survey and all." Leon snickered and gazed at you, his hazel eyes fixating on you. "Oh... I am settling in just fine. Everyone is great to work with, I'm getting used to the change of pace... You're a good boss." You laughed, and so did he.
Nodding, he sighed softly and tilted his head. "That's all I needed to hear." Leon smirked and stood up fully now. "Usually if someone complains about the job thus far, the President either positions them elsewhere or removes them from the organization entirely. You'll be a-okay though, you're doing great." You're happy to hear such.
"Before I forget..." Leon grabbed a thin book from his shelf and tossed it to you. Catching it, you read the title.
Division of Security Operations: Guidebook
"A handbook on the DSO?" "Yeah, it's required all new hires read it. Even someone as simple as a recep." Leon snickered and shrugged. Biting your lower lip as a concentration tactic, you checked the page numbers. Fifty of them. Quite the amount for such a tiny manual. Should be done by tomorrow.
"Thanks. I'll start it tonight." I told Leon. "That's all I ask of you." He put his hands together and ambled towards his desk, taking a seat.
Leon took a look at you. A long one. One that made you hold your breath momentarily before running your fingers through your hair. "I have immense confidence in you. Don't forget that." Leon hummed out, the eye contact between the two of you evident. "I won't let you down. Ever." You said humbly. "Atta girl." He opened his laptop up.
You're exhausted. It's best you head home and relax before tomorrow's big day.
"I'll see you then, Leon. I best get back and rest up." You said to him kindly, crossing your arms and holding the permitted booklet to your chest. "Excellent. Get some energy in your system for tomorrow, and I'll see you dark but early." Leon chuckled and you grinned. "Have a good night." You made your way to the door.
"You too, mon étoile."
You stopped in the doorway at what he said. What does that even mean? You considered spinning around and asking him but, maybe some things are better left mysterious. Your lips curved into a smile and a quiet exhale came from your lips before you left his office completely, knowing loads of sleep is next on your agenda.

A Leon Kennedy x Reader story, Chapter 3, Easing in
Masterlist
Pairing: Leon Kennedy x F!Reader
Summary: It is your first official work day at the D.S.O. Somehow, you manage to settle in very nicely
WC: 1.9k
Rating: Mature/Eventual smut/TWs
Song to listen to whilst you read: What I Got - Sublime
Thank you
"I hope you'll actually be able to put some of this stuff to use. Leon had ordered that someone pick up extra supplies for you."
Kenzie and her way of displaying your primary desk in the main office went well. She was the one who laminated your ID your first day here too, which you deeply appreciated. It looks clean, stuffed into your wallet and ready to be used whenever throughout the building.
On the desk sat notebooks, pens, sticky pads, etc. Basic stationary though, you're sure you'll be able to make great use of. There is a pre installed computer on the table too, though it is a bit outdated and Kenzie mentioned that most just use their modern laptops—you opt to do the exact same.
You set your tote bag down on the desk and faced Kenzie. She has truthfully made settling in here a breeze. "Thank you for all your help. I mean, I didn't expect so much guidance so, it means a lot." You said to her and she laughed, brushing it off as if her help didn't mean much. "Anytime, okay? You don't owe me anything, it's my job and besides, it's about time we get a new gal in here."
Such a sweetheart!
Giving her a nod of understatement, the office door then opened, revealing three men. Two of them you've already met, Leon and Jason. The third however, you've got zero clue in the world on who it is.
Jason shot you a friendly smile. "Glad to see we didn't scare you away." Jason said for adding on, "Though, they may not bite, but just say the word and I will." Oh God. So incredibly cringy. You laughed awkwardly and Kenzie gave him the bird, Jason only snickered at such a movement.
Leon then spoke up.
"I'd like for you to meet Todd—he is an agent, one of our top persons when it comes to marksmanship, he's top of our records." Interesting. You extended your hand and you two shared a firm greeting. "Pleasure to meet you." "Likewise." You stated as your reply.
Silence became the sound of the room before Kenzie bravely took over, talking up and mentioning something Leon was hoping to have a one on one discussion with you about; The upcoming mission.
"So Leon, have you put any more thought into our next expedition?" Kenzie asked of him. Leon let out a sigh, but then responded. "I have. Now considering we have a new face around here," he gave you a side smirk while speaking, "I say we make it a group analogy. We have someone stay back here at HQ while the rest of us commence our way there with our designated roles."
Kenzie then asked something else. She's quite the thinker, it seems.
"Who will stay back? What designated roles?"
Leon glared at her momentarily and she stopped talking.
"All of this will be covered in the debrief tomorrow, alright? Promise." He gave her shoulder a firm squeeze before gandering down at his watch and cursing to himself hushly.
Looking at you, he said something to all four of you.
"Get her settled in, I have a meeting... I'll be back to check on you soon." Leon gave his farewell before having to leave, having you remain with Kenzie, Jason and Todd.
All three of them seem chillaxed enough, even Todd. Maybe it's best you get to know the three of them.
"Maybe this is too soon but, I'd like to get to know the three of you... want to get lunch later? On me?" You questioned the three of them and in unison, they all agreed. "Oh, that was quick," you chuckled and Jason smiled while nodding. "Anyone here will take any shot at getting out of her lunch. It is rare, we usually only do it for special occasions but, this works just as well."
Fantastic to know.
"Well, find me around that time and I can drive all of us. In the meantime, the three of you can conspire together on where we should go." You giggled and Kenzie held her hands together before blurting out, "AND NO BARS!" But it's clear she was talking to the men.
They are clearly scared of her considering they immediately nodded, then walked off. Kenzie doing the same right after.
-
Here's what you know about these three so far.
McKenzie Dawson. Shes been with the D.S.O for a little over three years now. Shes a single mother of two sons, one is named Casey, the other is named Gideon. Not only that, her speciality is analysis writing and she is currently working on writing her first ever book.
Jason Farkas. He is your stereotypical "life of the party" kind of guy, but he's funny. He's been with the organization for nearly a decade now, having been around the same time as Leon. In fact, they used to have a rivalry! However, they sorted it out awhile back.
Todd Edens. Older guy, but can still hold his own. Grew up in a military family, married into another and he is overall similarly the father figure to the agents and those who work alongside them. He's been with the company for six years, having a similar story to you where he left the Air Force, and found himself here.
The three of them are all unique and honestly? You're glad you four decided to grab some grub together.
"We should have invited Leon." Jason mentioned while sipping the soda from the restaurant cup. Tilting her head, Kenzie asked why. "We don't really invite him out to these kinds of things anymore." "Because he always declines." Kenzie made a finger motion before picking up one of her fries and eating it.
She's not wrong.
Jason nodded.
"Leon speaks very highly of you." Todd said to you specifically. "Says you're a very talented woman with what you've been through... Being in the Army is no joke—what was that like?" You could relate to Todd in a way. You were both in branches of it. "Defined who I am today, it truly did, that's the plain Jane way to put it but also the most honest."
Everyone quieted down for a second, but Todd proceeded.
"Air Force did the same to me," he cleared his throat, taking a hasteful bite of his fish plate. "But I don't regret it at all... Do you regret joining the Army?" You immediately shook your head side to side. "Not for a second." It may have been hard and pushed you to such points you questioned your will and worth, but you kept going.
You would not be the strong woman you are today without it.
Kenzie then changed the subject.
"How do you feel about Leon thus far?" She nudged you and chuckled. "Yeah, has he been a hard ass at all?" Jason chimed in. "He's fine. Not a hard ass at all." You stated and the two looked at each other. "My first day was a lot... Leon made sure to knock my confidence down a few pegs." Kenzie muttered and Jason snickered, "I recall."
Odd. Leon's been nothing but nice to you. Seems he's changed? Per chance he's discovered more affective ways of helping people settle into the job itself.
You took a bite from your BLT sandwich and as you put it down, you leaned back against the seat and dramatically groaned. "I am so full, how about you guys?" "Same here." Kenzie giggled and the men laughed. "Weak little stomachs. We'll take ours to go then." "That works." You nodded and pulled some cash out, placing it down onto the table—a $100 should cover it and the waiter can keep the change for himself.
"We'll be outside waiting." Kenzie waved to the men and the both of you headed out of the restaurant in the downtown area.
-
Later into the night, it was going on eight o'clock. Kenzie was wrapping up her stuff to leave, and you're going to be stuck here a little while longer working on paperwork that every new recruit must suffer through.
Everyone goes through it!
"I'll see you tomorrow then and by the way, thanks for lunch earlier. I got us next time." She smiled at you and held her clipboard close to her chest. "Yeah, yeah." You let her go then and as she opened the door, Leon walked through and set the brand new black printer down onto the table beside the entry way.
Kenzie cursed to herself quietly.
"Leon, fuck, I forgot. Sorry." "It's fine. I figured you did." That's right. About ten minutes ago Leon asked if Kenzie would bring the brand new printer up as her final task. You two got so deep into work and talking that it must've slipped her mind. You decided to say something. "Definitely not her fault, Leon." You ambled over to them both. "I totally distracted her and let it slip past my mind. I'm sorry for that."
Leon's demeanor changed at the sight of you. Whether it was in a negative or a positive way, you couldn't really tell. He sighed deeply and opened the door back up for her. "Have a good night. Be here early for debrief tomorrow." She then left and following up after, you heard the elevator ding, ensuring her absence.
"How's everything going with you? Official first days are always stressful but, you se to be handling it well...?" "Honestly, yes." You let out a breathless laugh while nodding and leaning up against the wooden table, the new printer pushed up on it safely. "I even took Kenzie, Todd and Jason out for some lunch. I got to know them a lot better." "So I heard." Leon's voice was monotone but in a way you knew wasn't on purpose.
He's just a very much straightforward man.
Glancing over your shoulder, Leon took note of the light from your laptop, realizing you are still working. "How's that coming along? Any questions?" He suggested and you gandered back at the device yourself. To be fair, you haven't been necessarily hustling...
"No worries, but thanks. I've got this." You do. It's nothing you cannot handle.
Leon knows that. He trusts you. He has learned from past mistakes of not checking on people, it's gotten the damn President on his ass once or twice before.
The dim yet warm lighting in the semi dark room added an atmosphere of curiosity to be explored. The office is always bright and lit up during the day however, about an hour ago you and Kenzie agreed to make it this way if it's just the two of you in here alone, or with others who enjoy it as you two do.
It's very peaceful, it brings you a sense of comfort.
"Well then, I wish you luck. Take your time and finish up... I'll see you tomorrow for more details on the upcoming departure." That's right, it'll be your very first one and hopefully, first one of plenty.
"I'll see you then, Leon. Thanks." You opened the office door for him, giving him a helping hand before closing it and walking back over to your laptop.
No point in avoiding the inevitable, dingy thing known as paperwork.

Pacing back and forth anxiously around the bedroom, tons of thoughts roamed throughout your mind. Is Zeno having an affair? Is he going to abandon you? What could he possibly be up to from earlier in the evening until now, nearly six o'clock the next morning. None of it adds up!
Quite frankly, you're growing tired of it.
Tired of the constant worrying. Wanting him to be okay and happy with your guy's marriage seems impossible with how he has been this past couple of months. You've questioned him countless times and it's the same response time and time again.
"Don't worry about it."
"It's none of your concern."
"Just let me do things my way."
It goes full circle back to him and what he wants. He never seems to care about what you might want and need. It is exhausting.
The sound of the front door opening and then closing was heard. As if you were a cat, your head perked up and you ran out of the bedroom door and down to the railing of the staircase, glancing over it.
There he is, Zeno. In the flesh. He appears irritated already. You're sure it is from the numerous phone calls you made and voicemails you left him.
Ambling down the staircase in your robe, you were quick to confront him.
"You have been gone since seven yesterday evening! What is going on!?" You demand answers. Zeno rolled his eyes at your words as he removed his leather jacket, hanging it up on the rack. "Seriously? Rolling your eyes at me? What are you, a child-" You wanted to say more, but you cut yourself off.
His eyes were piercing you. He was staring at you with a look you haven't seen from him in a long time. It's dark and scary, mixed with it somehow being... Arousing?
Partial to your attraction to Zeno is his domineering side. It's hot and honestly? You've always digged it.
But lately, how can you?
Zeno is hardly your husband anymore. He is a stranger. Someone you hardly know.
Grabbing ahold of your arm tightly, you winced and shook your head. "What are you doing???" You yelled at him as he began to drag you up the stairs alongside him. "Zeno! Zeno, let me the hell go!" As you two reached the top of the steps, he let go of you roughly and glared down at you.
"38 missed calls. 20 voicemails. All throughout the span of three hours. Are you that clingy? That desperate? It's pathetic, truthfully." Zeno sounded disgusted. He took your wrist this time around and held onto you before shoving you down onto your guy's bed, then grabbing your legs and tossing them from the edge of the bed and onto it completely.
Sitting yourself up, you scoffed. "You told me you'd be back before midnight! Tell me, who is she? Some whore you met at a bar? Or better yet, some PhD bitch you are all obsessed with because the two of you share common interests?" You mention that because recently, Zeno mentioned how he wishes you shared his passions.
Total bullshit.
Zeno made a face of annoyance at your claims. "Shut the fuck up for once." He snorted out as he grabbed you by the ankles, pulling you back down to the edge of the bed. Can this man make up his mind!?
"What? I'm right, aren't I?" You spat out and he grabbed you by your neck, pulling you up to meet his face close. "No. You aren't. Your mouth is speaking in lies when I can think of a much better use for it." Oh my God. You attempted to move his hand away from your throat but his grip only grew tighter.
Zeno put his face directly in front of yours, his forehead pressing against yours in a manner you could not define. You wanted to look away, you really did. But you couldn't. His eyes are so very encapsulating. Your eyes were watery whereas his were that gorgeous, deep color of his. It irritates you how glorious his eyes are.
"You don't trust me one bit, do you?" He tilted his head slightly. You don't know how to respond to such a wonderance. Instead you just kept your eyes on his, which resulted in his fingers becoming tenfold on your abrasive neck. "Answer me. Now." Zeno stated sternly.
You used to trust him. When the two of you became partners for life, you were truly beyond in love with him and you felt as though he was with you. It's just that this past year has shown you so much about Zeno; His true colors. It's upsetting. He's a dark, dark man, who is always up to something or another.
You slowly nodded your head. His eyes never left your tainted expression. "I trust you. But you can't deny the fact you've been way too secretive, Zeno." You just want to hear him verbally agree with you.
Letting go of you, Zeno backed away from the bed and gandered up at the clock. It has been well over the time he told you he'd be back—that's not good on his part. However, Zeno knows what he's been doing, and it isn't infidelity—it is business. Business that'll never involve you.
Adjusting your robe, you went to get out of the bed but Zeno spoke up in a stark tone. "Sit back down." He murmured and began to unbutton his grey work style shirt. Listening, you got back onto the bed and watched him. Shirtless, he tossed his button up onto the ground and glanced back at you. "Come," he patted the very end of the bed.
Crawling down to him, you looked up at him. Zeno loves when you listen well. You always have, even during your most stubborn moments. It's just the way you're wired when it comes to him and your guy's relationship.
"I'm not having an affair, since you've gotten that idea in that pretty little head of yours, somehow." He whispered to you softly as he put his hand onto your cheek, caressing your face as he was looking down at you. "However there are some things you don't need to be a part of—such as my job. So will you just leave me to it from now on?"
As he finished up his sentence, his thumb found its way onto your lips. He parted them and slipped the finger into your mouth. You suctioned your lips around his thumb, your eyes locked with his intensely.
"Will you, darling?" He reinsinuated.
"Mhm."
You couldn't speak with his thumb in your mouth. Not that you are to complain about it. You like it.
"You're very tolerable when you listen to me, you know that, right?" Tolerable. You ran your tongue along his thumb before he pulled it out of your mouth and instead, brought it down to the cust of his dress pants.
"Tolerable girls are great but you want to know what's even better?"
The pop of the button from his crotch was heard as he dropped his black bottoms. You could see how hard he was. You then felt a pool of wetness make itself known between your legs.
"Good girls. Which, I know you can be one." He sighed softly and grabbed ahold of himself, pumping his cock as he stared down at you.
You genuinely hate how easy you are for him. It's fucking sad, but you revel in it, but not nearly as much as he does.
"Will you be my good girl tonight?" Zeno asked you, as he then took your hand in his free one, squeezing it gently.
Without a second thought, your head moved up and down automatically. That smirk overcame his face—the one he gets when he knows he's won you over again with his skeevy talk. "Mmm, yeah." He nodded slowly, taking your hand over to his hardened dick and letting go of it. "Show me how good of a girl you can be for me."
It's been some time. The two of you don't engage in anything sexual as of late. He's been too busy, and you hate it. The two of you used to go at it everyday. It just doesn't feel proper to let your body go unused knowing he has his advances.
You began to jerk him off, but at an already perfect pace. Zeno winced with a pleasurable noise, his eyes closing as he wasted no time focusing on the feeling. Being able to guide you, to get you to do anything he wanted, was a power he's never let go past him. Even in these past few weeks, he's thought about it. Hell, pictured it.
He won't admit it but, he needs it.
Zeno needs you.
Licking your lips hastefully, you brought your mouth down to his tip before swathing your wet lips around him. He grunted and bit his lower lip with a sharp motion, his head shooting downward to look at you.
Sliding your head back and forth, you took him as deeply as you could. He's big, both in length and width. It's almost too much, but you love it. So does he. The sight of you gagging around him, drool and watery eyes, it's so unbelievably beautiful. The joy it gives him is unimaginable. You're just something else in his eyes.
"Don't you dare stop. Don't slow down. Be my best girl." He whispered with a halted voice, his hips beginning to naturally move to match the bobs of your head.
The feeling of his cock slamming into the back of your throat was exciting. Your eyes remained open as of now, locked with his as a singular tear dripped from your right eye, streaming down your rosy cheek. "Oh," he shook his head as he smiled at the picture perfect view. "Such a perfect woman... That's it... Don't stop now..."
Both of Zenos hands went to your shoulders, giving them a good squeeze as his hips began to buck forward at a pace you could hardly match. You tried your best to keep up although, it didn't matter all too much considering shortly after, that familiar taste of his seed shooting into your mouth happened and you closed your eyes, swallowing every last bit.
You licked your lips and fixed your hair. Zeno stopped his panting and chuckled before getting up onto the bed, shoving you down onto your back, which caused you to gasp. Once again, not wasting any singular second of time.
His hands went from the bed and to the tie on your robe. He undid it and in doing so, he revealed your sensual bra and panties that lied underneath the expensive sleepwear. "I could never be unloyal to you... You've been my wife for a long time; I don't foresee that changing." His way of reassuring is odd but, it works for him.
Zeno started from your lips and made his way down to your breasts. His kisses were passionate, full of lots of feelings that weren't just arousal. It's clear they are out of a deep love too. He suckled on your neck, leaving red and purple hickies all over you, as if the two of you are teenagers. It was humorous, in a way.
Nuzzling his head between your boobs, you began to play with his brushed hair as he kissed, sucked and bit down on the outer area of your tits. He used his right hand to pull down part of your bra, exposing your nipple.
Bringing his mouth down, he sucked on your nipple. You moaned and tilted your head back, your hair disheveling itself against the satin pillow case. His teeth grabbed ahold of your nipple, the overstimulation causing your entire body to shake as a whole.
"Zeno..." You expired breathlessly, closing your eyes. It feels so good. Why is he suddenly all over you? “No talking.” Zeno said aggressively before pulling his head away and reaching for your underwear, smirking to himself as he started to inch them down your legs.
He completely pulled off your panties and brought them to his nose, taking in the smell with a great sigh before throwing them to the side of the bed. Watching him do that was incredibly sexy. You hate how handsome he is, and how he knows that he is. Zeno knows how to use it against you.
“Let’s see,” he reached his hand down between your legs, his fingers going for your folds. He made an acceptable noise. “You’re so wet… Is this all for me, sweetheart?” That stupid tone. So condescending! You rolled your eyes and when he caught you doing that, his other hand went for your jaw, jerking your head back to face him.
“You know better than to do that. Knock it off.”
You wanted to act like a child. Throw a fit for further attention. But you know how Zeno works. If you’re good with a splash of mischief involved, you know everything will work out for you. “I’m sorry.” You whispered, despite the fact he told you to not talk.
Zeno kissed your lips before pecking your forehead. He slid his fingers away from your heat, bringing them to his lips and sucking the juices from you up with delight. “You taste good, but I wonder something.” That very same hand then went to his cock, aligning it with your soaking warmth.
“Do you feel just as amazing as you taste?”
Zeno then slammed himself inside of you, his erect member hitting your inner walls with an aggression that knocked the breath out of you. “Oh fuck!” You moaned aloud and he brought his mouth down to shut you up, kissing you deeply, his hips rocking back and forth into you skillfully.
It’s been so long, or so it feels. Has he gotten bigger? Better? The feeling of the base of him slipping in and out of your wetness was extraordinary. It feels too good. You swathed your arms around his neck, keeping your husband close as he fucked you with that very same passion you know he’s always had—and hopefully will forever have.
“You taste and feel so perfect, yet you have the audacity to assume I am cheating on you?” Zeno huffed out as he was railing you, one hand on your throat, the other gripping the silky sheets beneath the both of you. You didn’t say anything, nor did you make a head motion. “I could and would never… You’re the only woman for me.” He grunted, closing his eyes and dipping his head into the crook of your neck.
Silence from the two of you, vocally. All that could be heard was the bed creaking, pants from the both of you and the intense sound of your guy’s bodies shifting together sexually.
You went to grab ahold of his face but with one swift movement, Zeno took your wrists and dropped them down above your head, keeping them in place. Now you can’t touch him at all. His hair strands were floating above your face as he was admiring you. Those eyes of his, they’re so captivating. Very arousing.
“I love seeing how vulnerable you can be,” Zeno laughed out as his dick began to throb within you, and his movements were even more sloppy with a messy love. You were shaking at this point. You can’t help it. The way his slim waist thrusted into you, you’re sure there’ll be bruises when you awaken later. He’s so rough with you; Neither of you could ever have it any other way.
Shutting your eyes, your mouth gaped open and you felt spit go into it. Your eyes shot open, and a slight leer appeared on your face. Zeno spat into your mouth before he then took his hand, his other holding both wrists down, as he then smacked your face before grasping your chin.
Holy fuck he’s so perfect.
“Look at me while I cum so deep inside of you.” He stated though, there was no compromising.
“That’s my girl.”
He then unpinned your wrists and reached down, his fingers going to your clit, rubbing it in smooth motions in hopes of making you have an orgasm alongside him.
Everything happening all at once, you weren’t surprised when the two of you came together. The fucking itself, the noises, him touching you… Your orgasm was phenomenal, and as was his.
Zeno pulled himself out of you after he shot his load in you, his breathing uneven and his body drenched from sweat. You were shaking, your legs uneasy and your head racing with thoughts. One thing though, the two of you were in bed, side by side, reminiscing on the crazy sex you both just had.
“That’s what good girls get,” Zeno swallowed before standing up, holding his hand out to you. “They get to make love, then take a shower with their partner, okay?” You took his hand and he led the two of you to the bathroom, where you then took a joint shower, and eventually fell asleep in bed together.
Cleon Oneshots/AUs Collection, Chapter 31, First dance

Pairing: Leon Kennedy x Claire Redfield
Summary: Leon and Claire share their first dance at their wedding
Status of their relationship in this one shot: Married

Taking one another's hands, Claire and Leon stepped close to one another as the song they chose as their first dance for their wedding began to play. The melody was loud so everyone could hear it, but the speaker made it sound soft, which made it even better. The song they decided on a few months before their wedding was 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran - a song they both enjoy and an artist they believe has a wonderful voice.
Claire's dress flowed as their movements picked up. Her wedding dress is rather unique. It's long and slightly trails in the back, it has faint sparkles along its back and the sleeves are long too - it suits her well. Another factor about it in the front of it. It covers her cleavage, which she wanted heavily when choosing a dress. She just felt it was more modest. It's really gorgeous in the front, all white with faint sparkles towards the bottom. It truly suited her.
Leon's outfit was normal, just a black suit. He didn't want to do anything extravagant for himself, but instead, all for Claire. It's what she deserved for the fact she put together the wedding together herself. It's not that Leon never wanted to help out, he did, he just sucked at it. He was better with focusing on the minor aspects of it.
His hands traced her back as they swayed around the floor, gazing at one another. Claire's arms were swathed around Leon's neck, faintly playing with his hair out of nervousness as they danced around the center of the room. Everyone's eyes were on them, just the two of them. Leon didn't let it bother him as much but Claire isn't much of the type to be the center of attention.
The guests consist of their family and friends, some plus ones too. It's been a beautiful wedding so far.
Leon twirled Claire before pulling her back into him. Before the wedding itself and well in advance, they practiced dancing considering well, neither of them are good at it. It's been such a lovely thing to learn with one another, they've both enjoyed it and put all of their efforts into it, especially Leon. All he wants is for their wedding to be to Claire's standards and so far, it's gone amazingly.
Whilst they danced, Claire tilted her head as he looked into her now husband's eyes before speaking. "How are you feeling?" She whispered. "Great. You?" "Perfect." She smiled and nodded. Leon squeezed her hips when she said that, a sign of his joyfulness. "That's what I like to hear, my love." Leon pressed his forehead against hers, smiling brightly at her. "I love you, Leon." She said. "I love you most." He sighed deeply, bringing his lips up to her forehead and kissing it sweetly.
Once again, Leon twirled her as the song hit it's middle, timing it excellently.
"Guess the work we've put in has paid off; You are a fine dancer, Mr. Kennedy." Claire bit her lower lip before smirking at him. "As for you too... Mrs. Kennedy." He hummed out to her. Claire felt tears welt in her eyes from happiness but to save Leon any worry at all, she just went and rested her head against his chest as they danced continuously.
Around the room of the establishment they got married in, the guests simply watched. Chris, watching his sister in utter awe. Seeing her grown up like this, it's a blessing and a curse. Time can suck. He's just happy he was the one to walk her down the aisle. Jill is a plus one with Chris, sitting beside him. She was in awe too, it's like seeing her baby sister all grown. It's quite the sight to witness.
Sherry is in attendance too. For her, it's like seeing her second parents come together and get married. She couldn't be happier. Admittedly, during the ceremony, she teared up a bit. It's just so great.
As for some of their friends, quite a few are here. The buttons are, all of them, in support of primarily Claire but they know and love Leon too. Barry is proud of Claire for finding a man in which treats her amazingly. Moria is happy too, Claire looks gorgeous and she can't stop admiring her.
Leon has a few friends from his agency in attendance. He has known them for so long, it was almost an obligation to invite them. Ashley Graham and her father are present too, being they've known each other for a while and went through hell and back together. Ashley is glad she came, Leon is happy and for her, that makes her happy. The wedding has been stunning so far, in her words. Graham is proud of Leon, it was about time he settled down with a spunky lady who wasn't a fling.
Overall, their wedding has been fantastic.
As the song slowly came to a close, Claire lifted her head and leaned in, kissing Leon lovingly. He held her waist close and firmly, deepening the kiss with pure gentleness. Honestly, this kiss felt more special than their one at the alter and wow, the one at the alter was spicy!
"Time for my dance with Chris." Claire let off a playful shrug and smiled, smooching Leon's cheek before he spoke, then ambled off to the side. "Ill be watching you." He winked and trailed off, heading over to where Chris once was, having them swap places.

You about tripped over yourself as you slipped your other foot into your ran down muck boots, the ones you've owned since your late teen years. You've been awake less than an hour, but managed to sleep in.
When Arthur had given you a ride back to the camp, then back to your house, he let you know to take the next week with some ease. He promised to write to you. That man best have kept his promise because now you're going to check the post office, where all of your mail gets sent to.
When it comes to receiving letters from him, you try your absolute best to keep them hidden. Especially from your father. If he were to find out that you were writing back and forth with a man he's hardly met, you'd be in some deep trouble with him.
This past week has been off its rocker. You haven't worked once. You doubt its because your parents have had a sudden change of heart. They're just too focused on the store for themselves, which is a rarity. A luxury you'll take, no matter how long it may last.
Stumbling out of your home, the sun was streaming itself down upon the quaint town that is Rhodes. Lately, it's been a never ending heat wave! Just a constant battle of mankind against a bright, yellow light in the sky—treacherous! It wouldn't be so bad but your wardrobe is limited when it comes to comfortable summer attire.
The Post Office isn't too far from where you reside considering you're near the General Store itself. Luckily for you, there's a chilling breeze in the air today. You wish it was this way everyday. Instead, you're being eaten alive by extreme warmth and the occasional nat that can't keep to bugger off.
Men and women of the town were all cooped up in their homes. No one wants to be outside in this God forsaken heat! You don't blame them one bit. Then again, that'll make your trip to check the mail easier. Less people, less of a crowd and a hasteful time attending to it all.
Hypothetically, if Arthur hasn't written you yet, you'll take it as a sign; Per chance the two of you were never meant to be. It would be a pain but one you must take with stride. You care for Arthur, deeply, but if he truly cannot see himself spending time with you, he's not the one—as much as that tears at your heart.
If he has wrote you however, you'll be uncontrollably happy! To see his cursive on paper again, and to reimagine his voice as you read the letter, both are exquisite feelings. They are ones you want to feel again.
Stepping up the porch to the wooden yellow establishment, you brushed your dress off before pushing the doors open. A man behind the coverted desk spoke up. "How can I help you, miss?"
You let him know about the mail and he gave you a nod before handing you the key to the black metal carrier. Arthur, don't let all of this down.
You twisted the key inside and opened it up. Two pieces of mall. Ugh. The first one is meant for your father. It appears to be a bank statement of sorts. What money could he possibly have. Yall are poorer than a dog on the streets. As for the second letter, your eyes gleamed with joy as you read who it was from.
Arthur Morgan.
Biting down onto your lower lip, you gave the worker a wave of gratitude before exiting the Post Office and walking past the stairs to sit down on the bench connected to the porch. You, to no surprise, immediately sliced the letter open, taking it out and beginning to read all of what Arthur had wrote.
"I'm not one for feeling nervous. That just ain't me, if you couldn't tell already. Yet you, you have managed to instill such a striking feeling into me. Whether that's a fascinating or a bad thing, I am unsure of as of now, but I can say you most definitely have.
I've thought about all that you told me. I was so desperate for clarity, I done went and spoke to Mary-Beth about the inquiries of romance. She helped, a little.
I feel a lot of ways everyday, but it's become more and more clear to me that when I am alone with you, or hell, around you at all, those grunge feelings dissipate and all I begin to feel is purity. A sense of safety overcomes me and suddenly, all that matters to me is protecting you. Mary-Beth told me that's love. Do you think so?
I spoke to Dutch. He's quite the thinker. I will always respect him, but that doesn't mean I'll always agree with him. In this case, I don't. Against my better judgement, Dutch agreed to let you join us. As for why, I'm not aware. More people, more money. Leverage. Hell, I'm lost.
I'm distraught but grateful. As you have once said, it could be the better for you. It's only a matter of time until we truly know, my dear.”
Finishing the final paragraph of the letter, you folded it back how it was before staring down at the wooden built deck beneath you. None of this feels real. Dutch, the Dutch who is head of the gang is allowing you to be a part of it?
You can't deny, it is a bit sketchy that he's letting this slide. It has a funk to it. Nevertheless, you get to be with Arthur and while now he may not agree with the idea of it, he's going to have to deal—you are never leaving that man's side.
Uplifting yourself from the worn down bench, you were quick to be away from the Post Office and on your way back to your residence—for now.
All you can plan to do with your time is pack some things, and head for Arthur.

Hi I hope you’re having a good day :) I was wondering how you’d write Leon and baker reader who always gives him the first batch of their freshly baked goods when he visits their shop on his way to work since he’s so early every morning and writes sweet messages on his drink cup whenever he comes in.
Let me know what you think, anon!

The sound of the bell attached to the Bakery’s front door was heard, which piqued your curiosity. You have a good feeling about who it may be. Glancing up at the back office’s clock, it is only going on 7:00 am so who else could it really be? You’ve only had one other customer, and that was an older woman who comes by once a week for her freshly baked baguettes.
Heading out to the front area, a small smile appeared on your face when seeing who it was.
Leon.
You consider him a regular. He stops by once or twice a week around this time, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays—it is Friday. This has been a weekly thing for almost five months now.
You’ve soaked in every last minute of it.
“I was wondering if I’d see you today!” You said to him with a kind tone as you leaned over the counter, getting a better look at him. The young and well put man turned to face you entirely, a smirk on his face at the sound of your greeting. “Oh, you know me. I can’t resist your goods.” Leon chuckled, his card already in his hand.
You’re sure he’ll order his usual.
Pulling up the POS system built into the white pad before you, you began to start up his drink. You double checked though.
“Your usual?” “Always.” Leon nodded and you smiled softly.
He always orders a warm vanilla coffee. You can’t blame them, they’re a delicacy, especially here. You have a magic touch with them! But you especially try when it comes to his…
Putting his order through the system, you moved the card reader back to its original placement. “Are you going to grab a baked goods bag today or no? They are 25% off until Monday.” You mentioned the nice deal to him. “I sure am.” He put his card in the reader. Before accepting the payment, you let him know the total and before he knew it, you were prepping his warm beverage up.
“What’s in the bags today?” Leon asked, walking over to the glass display case full of them. They’re all fresh baked goods you made in the past two hours, all stemming from prep you did last night before leaving. You had an open to close yesterday, and another one today. “Today there is fresh baked bread with pistachio filling, sugar cookies, candied fruit and best of all, my first ever batch of strawberry shortcake. I have it extra wrapped and everything.” You giggled out.
Leon took one of the transparent bags from the case and admired it. “You are talented. You know that, yeah?” Leon grinned and held onto the bag. “Thank you. I appreciate that.” You said whilst pouring a dash of milk and vanilla into his drink. It’s so warm, you could see the tasty smelling steam emit from the cup.
“I admire the fact you come here a lot. I’ve noticed you’re here once or twice a week, I’m assuming before you go to your own job?” “That’d be right.” Leon nodded. “A friend told me about your bakery. Sounded nice, so I gave it a shot… Really glad I did.” His eyes were set on you.
You put the cover over his coffee, all the while hiding your flushed face in doing so. You are totally blushing, you can’t help it. Compliments toward your dedicated work make you feel a sort of way!
“I’m glad too. You’ve become a regular in my mind.” “Is that so? Maybe I’ll have to show my face around here more often—make my visits more than once or twice a week.” Leon suggested and you shrugged playfully while tilting your head, “I wouldn’t mind one bit.” You laughed and he chuckled alongside with you.
Taking the pink marker from underneath the counter, you decided to write something on his cup while he was distracted looking at the bag of goodies he bought.
“You rock, Leon. Your next purchase will be on the house.” And you signed it with your initial, along with an adorable, doodled heart—all of it in a baby, pastel pink coloring.
You’re not one for being good with flirtation however, your shot must be thrown out there.
Sliding him the cup, you sighed softly. “Suppose I’ll see you soon then?” “Sooner than you think.” Leon gave you a silly wink and you snorted before backing away from the counter. “Safe travels!” You called out as he left the establishment.
You stood at the counter momentarily, awaiting his car to pull away and you’re glad you did. You watched as he read your lettering. Leon gandered up from his drivers side and a happy expression was rested upon his face.
Waving to him, you then walked to the back office once again.
See you soon, Leon—the most handsome regular there ever has been!
hi!! i was wondering if you could write a post re4 remake Leon S. Kennedy x reader oneshot with angst + comfort?
basically, leon is having a really bad nightmare and he's tossing and turning in his sleep, clearly distressed. it wakes up the reader, and she tries to gently wake him up, talking to him and shaking him a little but it's not working.
then when she touches him, he suddenly reacts like he's still in the dream. he flips her over and pins her down, thinking she's a threat, and ends up putting his hand around her throat. like enough to cut off her breathing for a few seconds.
she manages to snap him out of it, and the second he realizes it's her, he immediately lets go and backs off. he's horrified and disgusted with himself and genuinely shaken up that he could've hurt her.
even though y/n isn't upset and understands it was just a trauma response, leon refuses to sleep next to her again because he's scared it'll happen again.
id love it if the ending is comfort-heavy, where y/n reassures him, maybe gently argues with him, and eventually convinces (or even bribes lol) him to come back to bed, showing him she trusts him and isn't afraid.
I’ve got you anon !!

Another sudden toss from Leon could be felt as it vibrated throughout the bed and its frame. You couldn’t ignore it any longer. You know Leon and how he suffers from PTSD. Some nights are easy, others? Not so much. Tonight just may be one of those rough ones.
You feel horrible for him. He’s gone through literal Hell and back. One thing about him, he’s always struggled to open up about things. It took him two whole months alone to explain what happened in Spain and at that, even longer to have him better explain how his disorder works against him. You are patient, no doubt about it.
Rubbing your eyes, you sat up in the bed and yawned as once again, you felt Leon shift and then say something. You couldn’t really make it out, but it’s most definitely partial to his nightmare he’s having.
“Leon?” You whispered to him. You ran your fingers through his soft hair, though it felt slightly damped with sweat.
This must be a rough one.
“Baby? Wake up. You’re okay, you’re home.” You spoke up.
Still nothing.
Laying your hand gently upon his cheek, you caressed it with your thumb. The faint and recently shaved stubble was felt beneath the pad of your finger. He looks incredibly precious whilst he rests. If only he didn’t have to suffer from such a shitty mental threshold.
“Wake up Leon. Please hun. You’re oka-“
Before you could finish your sentence, a sudden restrained noise came from deep in your throat as Leon hastefully pinned you onto your back and before either of you even knew it, his left hand was around your throat with a tightness that was clearly visible to the fact he felt in danger.
Jesus fuck.
You gasped for air and held onto his wrist, attempting to remove it.
“Le- Leon.” You were quiet. His hand is so firm around your neck. This doesn’t feel real. He must’ve been so deep into the bad dream. You made eye contact with him and it was then that he realized what he had just done.
Being more quick with his movements compared to how he was when it came to choking you, Leon threw his entire body off of you and climbed out of the bed, running that same hand through his hair before he inhaled deeply, and exhaled with a speed that didn’t seem healthy. “Holy fuck!” Leon shouted and put his hands onto his fibrous knees.
Sitting up on the back of the bed, you wrapped your arms around your legs, taking the moment to catch your breath and process everything; That appeared to be what Leon was doing himself.
Staring at him, his eyes were on you. Not on your eyes, but right below—locked on where he was just strangling you.
Leon has never felt more disappointed in himself.
“God damnit!” He yelled out again and you shook your head. “Baby, it is okay.” Your reassurance meant nothing to him. He just choked the love of his life and what, because of a stupid nightmare? He finds himself to be absolutely pivoted with vile currently. He can’t believe himself.
Who has he become?
“It’s not okay!” Leon was starting to do his pacing, which you took as your queue to crawl near the side of the bed he was walking beside. You can tell he’s not in the right headspace. His stress levels are through the roof right now and it’s going to take a lot of convincing to bring him back down to Earth.
“Leon,” you went to reach for his hand but he conveniently backed away until his back hit the wall. Ironically enough, a photo was hung up beside him of the two of you when you both attended a wedding together.
It is crazy how time flies.
It’s hard to think of what to say. Leon is so vulnerable right now. He feels horrible. What he just did to you, he will never forgive himself for.
“I’m not upset with you, at all. Don’t beat yourself up, Leon, you were having a nightmare. We knew this was a risk, we looked into it.”
At the beginning of Leon’s nightmares, you two had decided to do some at home research about PTSD and its side effects. A warning was that nightmares can result in physical reaction. The moment Leon knew of that, he was on edge. You always told him you’d forever understand, and you meant that. You love Leon, which also means you will always stick by his side, through thick and thin.
Shaking his head, Leon glanced at the digital clock on his nightstand. “I have to go to work in two hours knowing I just hurt my girlfriend.” Leon scoffed out and rubbed his face. You sighed softly and stood up. You went to grab his face and he took your hands, gazing at you. “Let me touch you.” You were sad now. You need to feel him, in any way.
He hesitated.
“We can’t sleep together anymore. Now that it’s happened, I just… I can’t.” Leon stated.
But he gave in to your touch.
You rubbed his cheeks with such love. You swear you felt the tension from his body go away in seconds. Leon has always told you that you are his relaxer, it seems he’s never exaggerated that factor.
“It has happened once in the countless nights we’ve slept side by side. Leon, it is a risk I am willing to take every night.” You said. “I love you and I refuse to not sleep beside my man every night.” You pleaded with him but you were met with silence.
Fuck sakes.
“Please say something,” you sniffled and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging him lovingly before running your fingers through his hair via the back. He expired deeply, his hands on your upper back as he tucked his head into the crook of your neck, pressing sweet kisses to it. It was like he’s apologizing to your throat for hurting you potentially.
“I don’t know.” “Why don’t you know, Leon?” “If we should continue to sleep together… Maybe I should stick to the couch for awhile.”
You pulled away and looked at him with melancholic eyes. “Leon,” you hand your hands on his built chest—you could feel his rapid heart beats. “I would rather get choked every night than sleep away from you. I truly would.” You spoke with such truth that it struck Leon just how serious you’re being.
He still appeared unsure.
“Leon, that’s enough.” You let go of him and crawled back into bed before aggressively pulling the blanket on his side of the bed down, insinuating you wanted him to get in as well. He just looked at you, his eyes tired and his stature unsure. “Get in the bed before I make you.” You cocked your head and patted on the bed.
Just then, he nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed, his feet on the carpeted ground. You sat up on your knees directly behind him before you also began to place kisses along the outer part of his ear before whispering to him.
“I love you.” And kissing his ear lobe. “Lay down with me.” You were desperate. You need him.
Fully getting into bed, you made some room for him before laying your head onto his bare chest. He’s warm, very cozy. “I love you too honey.” Leon let out a deep breath, wrapping his arms around you.
All the while knowing he’s a truly lucky man—because it takes love to be able to deal with such a thing.
Summary: After 3 months, Leon convinces Claire to meet up with him

Thank you
These three months have been a repetitive hell.
Leon has been all alone and without Claire, which has made his life worse than it ever has been. He thought they had something, and that it would continue on & grow to become something even stronger. Of course, the universe always fucks him over and that had to change for him. This shit is getting really old.
All he's done is pester Claire and he's aware of that. He's called and texted, even emailed. At one point, he was so desperate to contact her again that he called Chris and even though it went straight to voicemail, Leon regrets it because he knows whatever Claire wants, Chris will grant to her, which isn't even a bad thing.
It's safe to say, Leon is depressed. He still is, even after all this time.
However, it's a bit lifted today because he knows what's to come - he and Claire are meeting up today! It's only over a cup of coffee but Leon couldn't be more relieved. They texted today. It went a little something like this:
Wednesday
"Fine. We can meet today. 2 pm, Meadow Ave Café. Don't be late."
"Claire, thank you. I'll see you then."
While she didn't reply, Leon has a feeling this'll go well. Yes, Claire is angry - she is furious, actually, but, Leon wants nothing more than their friendship to be rebuilt. He'll do anything for that to happen.
And so now, he is on his way. It'll probably be about five more minutes until he arrives. Admittedly, he's nervous. He hasn't been this on edge in a long, long time. Claire makes him feel this way. Although, he knows that the second he sees her, it'll be like no time has even passed. Whether that's a good or bad thing isn't up to Leon.
Even if they decide to go no contact, Leon will at least be grateful for the closure. As long as Claire is happy and well, who is he to continue making her life a pester-fest? He shouldn't have continued to go after her anyways, she was clear that morning at the motel. He should've just laid off. Deep down, he regrets all that he's done in these last three months.
At least they've led up to this though!
He wonders what they'll all talk about. Obviously about the chip and the whole incident that went down the last time they were together. Maybe even the sex. He doesn't care, all of it needs to be spoken on. It's important and he understands that. This time around, he hopes Claire can finally see the truth.
Hopefully.
Leon turned left and just up the road is the café. His chest tightened more-so than it already was and his heart picked up in speed. This is terrifying. Claire is not a force to be reckoned with. She set him off the day at the motel. Leon had never been more upset than he was that day. He remembers when she left the motel, he practically sulked in that bed for a few hours before finally managing to crawl out of it.
Anyways, Leon's gonna attempt to maintain himself; Attempt to come off as presentable. He supposes he'll see how that goes for him.
Parking his car diagonally in the street, he sighed deeply. Here goes nothing. He quickly checked himself out in his car mirror. Hair is on point and his scruff is hardly visible now that he shaved. Yeah, he didn't want to appear fucking homeless in front of Claire. In that case, it'd really be set in stone that he's been a mess these last few months.
Opening the door, he closed it to the side of him and glanced down. His apparel isn't clearly too "try hard". Instead, it's rather casual. He didn't want to seem like he was cocky about all of this, cause he's not, at all.
Leon walked on the sidewalk until he reached the front door of the café. It is, of course, a glass door and on the inside, he saw her. Claire. Beautiful as ever, but he'll keep that to himself. Her auburn hair is in her classic go-to ponytail but it's faintly messy in the best way possible. She has a sweater on, a cozy one. Her jeans are washed and blue, but cute. They suit her.
With a final deep breath, he opened the door and cleared his throat. The sudden entry caught Claire's attention and she looked up & over at Leon. Her face remained the same, but her eyes got a bit wider. She fixed her posture and motioned for Leon to come over to her. Slowly but surely, Leon did just that.
When taking his seat, Claire was quick to talk. "So, I have some questions I want to ask you and you best answer honestly." Oh Jesus Christ, she means business. Leon exhaled sharply and nodded, adjusting his seating position. "Go ahead." Leon responded. He's ready for anything, and he'll be honest. He won't hurt Claire any further.
"The chip, where is it?" "Gone. The President took it back about a month ago to do some data scans on it." "Honest?" "Honest. You can even search me." Leon snorted and gazed into her eyes momentarily. The eye contact was searing, but didn't last long. Claire glanced down and nodded. "Fine."
A waiter came over and asked them what kind of coffee they wanted to drink, and if they wanted any food to go with it. "I'll take a vanilla latte." Claire stated before peeping up at Leon. "Just a water, thanks." He cleared his throat and ran his fingers through his hair. A coffee spike is the last thing this man needs right now.
Once the waiter was gone, Claire spoke up once again. "About the chip again, why did you lie about it?" "Lie?" "You continue to say you won't publish what's on it to protect "me" and the "public". Why do you continue to lie?" "Claire," Leon inhaled deeply, trying his best not to get frustrated. "Like I have said a thousand times - I am not lying to you."
Leon feels like that's all he can say. Because, what else is there? He isn't lying. Claire just won't realize that.
Claire nodded and curled her fingers into her hand, like a fist motion. It's a sign of anger. But then, she gently uncurled them and let out a soft noise. What's that? Relief? "Leon, I want to see what's on the chip. Or, just tell me and I'll take your damned word for it." Leon listened to her intently and thought about it for a second.
He could just tell her. In the past, she's mainly just asked to see the chip itself, to see what's on it. Describing it? That's easier to do than actually showing her. This'll ensure there's no proof he even showed her and that her memory of it will defy later on. "I can tell you the basis of what's on it." "Go on." Claire whispered softly, knowing they have to stay quiet.
"Confidential info, obviously," He cleared his throat and looked around the café. No one is listening. Leon is just paranoid. "There is stuff on the chip that could ruin the government and honestly, anyone in office whose helping the President. They did illegal shit. They lied and stole, fraud was committed and illegal weapons were purchased." Leon stopped once again and looked at Claire.
Zero surprise on her face. Crazy. It's like she figured this.
"If I would've ever showed you the chip, they would've known and Claire, they would've assassinated you or something of that sort. This isn't something to be taken lightly." That's all Leon can say. There is more, more specific content and what not but this is good, good for now. "So?" Leon spoke up and tilted his head slightly whilst gazing at her.
She believes him. It's not a surprising thing - the government is absolutely corrupted right now. Claire shook her head. "Yeah, makes sense." She scoffed and rubbed her temple, trying not to stress herself out further. "Alright yeah, I believe you. I wouldn't mind actually seeing the clip but I'd rather not be hunted down and shot for simply knowing information." She sarcastically laughed.
She does!? Claire? Believes him? Leon nodded repeatedly and straightened his back. "Claire, thank you." Was all he managed to mutter out. "I'm serious. I'm not lying to you. If I could have it my way, you would've been given the chip the moment you asked, ok?" He tried his best to reassure her in some way.
He means all of what he is saying.
Claire cleared her throat and looked over. The waiter was making his way to them. Leon died his tone down and nodded. The waiter set down Claire's coffee in front of her and Leon's water in front of him. "I mean it." Leon murmured as the worker went away. "Ok. I'll take your word for it. For good. I've done a lot of inner work and thinking - no point in not believing you, you have no reason to lie."
It took her this long to realize that? Whatever, at least she gets it now. He watched as Claire sipped her coffee and sighed softly. "How's your coffee?" "Good." Claire placed it down and looked out the window to her left. It's nice out today. Sunny with a light breeze. Leon is glad they decided to meet up today, it's the perfect day to do so.
"Any other questions?" "Actually yeah. I just wanna know why? Why didn't you just... Tell me what was on the chip sooner?" "Honestly, I just didn't think about it. I wanted you to have as much protection as possible. I was being selfish and too over bearing. I'm sorry, Claire." Leon went on. "Leon, it's fine. I get it. I was a bitch the last few months. I'm sorry too." Claire groaned and breathed aloud deeply.
Okay. This is good. Leon feels good. He drank some of his water and it felt very cool down his throat. It cooled him down from the intense heat he is feeling. It's just from his nervousness. "Thank you for meeting with me today." "It's not a problem. I had no plans and knew it had to happen sooner than later." It did. Claire isn't wrong.
They sat in silence for a little bit, just drinking from their cups and glancing around the establishment. Honestly, it feels like old times. A good talk is what they needed. Months of despair could've been avoided if they had done this sooner. Doesn't matter now. Things are better.
-
Eventually, they finished their drinks and had spoke a little bit more. They talked about the chip, work and their personal lives. Catching up was nice, especially with Claire. "Here, I'll pay." Leon put down a 10 dollar bill and stood up, adjusting his jacket. "I'll tip then." Claire put down another 10 and chuckled, fixing her hair as she stood up.
"Want me to walk you to your car?" "Oh, yeah, sure." Claire walked beside Leon as they exited the café. "Listen Leon, I am sorry. I've been just... Out of it. However, I think we've both been in the wrong." She's right. "I agree." Leon nodded in agreement, opening Claire's car door for her so she could get in and start up her vehicle.
"Claire," Leon hummed out. "Hmm?" She mumbled as she sat into her car. Leon leaned down and continued, "Can we call tomorrow? Say, noon?" "Noon? Yeah, fine. Works for me." "Awesome." He brought himself back up and closed her car door for her. "Well, talk to you then." "For sure." Claire waved goodbye from her car, and Leon did the exact same.
Summary: Chris and Jill have made their feelings known. They have a movie night

Jill walked up to Chris's front door before knocking on it, awaiting a response. Today is a good day, her and Chris plan to have a movie night together. It's a Saturday, it's the perfect day for one. She brought over a bag with some goodies in it such as snacks and she also brought over some wine - a new brand that recently released. It's a local brand at that.
The door opened and there he was, in all of his handsome glory - Chris. "Hey baby." Chris smirked and food to the side, allowing her to enter his apartment. Jill chuckled and said hi back, "Hi hun." She placed the brown paper bag on his dining table. "What do ya got in there?" "I'll show you." She replied with a loving giggle, beginning to unpack what was in it.
She set down some snacks first. Those included popcorn, chips and some cheese bites. Not only that, she set down the bottle of wine. "You like wine?" "Sure." Chris nodded and picked up the bottle, viewing it and analyzing the brand and flavor. Looks tasty. "Looks good." "Right?" Jill hummed out and crumbled the bag up, tossing it in the trash before looking over at Chris.
Chris put the wine bottle down and slithered his hands around Jill's waist. "I missed you." "Missed you two." Jill cupped his cheeks and kissed him lovingly, her lips pressed against his. Chris's hands squeezed her hips, keeping her right against him. Their kisses were worthy & loving, just as they both liked them. "Mmm, glad you could come over this weekend." "Same here babe." She responded as she pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.
Opening up the chip bag, Chris dumped some of them into a bowl. He then tossed Jill a bag of popcorn. "Mind popping that into the microwave?" "Not at all." Jill smiled at her boyfriend and opened it up, tossing the wrapper into the trash beside the counter. She put the bag of popcorn into the microwave and set it for two minutes.
"What movie are we watching tonight?" "How does Leon the Professional sound? Haven't seen it yet and it's just a few years old." "Sounds good to me, it'll be a first for me as well." Jill nodded and and crossed her arms, tilting her head at Chris as he gazed at her. He put the cheese bits in the fridge and turned back to face her. "Good. I'm sure it's good." "Yeah." She spoke back to him.
Reaching upwards, Chris got out two wine glasses and set them down on the wooden counter, it is polished and clean from Chris deep cleaning his place this past week. "Want the wine now?" "Yes." Jill answered his question, convoying up to him and picking up the bottle on her way, giving it to him. "Thanks sweetheart." He mumbled before popping it open and pouring some of the cold liquid into his fancy glasses. He got them from Claire awhile back.
The popcorn finished up in the microwave, and Jill grabbed it out. Shaking up the brown bag, Jill ripped it open carefully before pouring it into the red plastic bowl on the table. It fit all of the popcorn on the inside perfectly. "Smells good." "I know, I'm starving. I haven't eaten since lunch time." "You haven't? Let's get you fed then." Chris smiled and kissed the top of her head, holding both glasses in his hands.
They both headed over to his L shaped couch and took a seat. Chris and Jill set their food and drinks on the coffee table before them before adjusting themselves on the couch, cuddling up to one another. "Want a blanket?" "Sure." Jill nodded. Chris laid a comfortable quilt over them, tucking in it and making sure it was covering them both. This... This is cozy...
Picking up the bowl of popcorn, Chris set it gently between them, making it so it wouldn't tip over. He then reached over for the remote and pressed play and immediately, the action movie began to play. "I hope it's good." "I'm sure it is." Chris groaned and slipped his arm around Jill, holding his girl close as the film began to really start.
Whilst watching, they snacked on their bowl of popcorn and occasionally, very rarely, took sips of the wine. Neither of them will get drunk, nor even buzzed. It's a very little amount of wine and Chris made sure to water the glasses down just a tad bit.
It's moments like these that they both take in and do not take for granted.
-
The movie is mostly through. It's been really good! Jill has enjoyed it. As they watched, her and Chris were occasionally kissing and even at one point caught themselves making out; They stopped when a loud scene came on and snapped them out of their trance, funnily enough. But, it's been a good evening as of now.
Their popcorn and wine is gone, but Jill is full and done, so is Chris. Now, they're just embracing one another close as they continue to watch.
Chris's hand is on Jill's thigh, carefully rubbing her thigh sensually. Jill can't help but be distracted by it. It feels good. It's turning on. She's trying her best to ignore it but it isn't that easy. He knows what he's doing. He also kisses her cheek and forehead every so often, and just did. Jill loves how he's being right now - all touchy & lovey.
Slyly, Jill opened her legs slightly more. She isn't attempting to start anything but hey, maybe it could lead to something? Chris smirked, and Jill did infact notice. He knows. This is what he wanted. Jill pretended like she was all invested with the movie. She was - until now.
He moved his hand further up, closer to her sweet, warm spot. His fingers were careful when tracing, making sure to not make sudden moves and to make it seem as though he's being normal. In reality, he's most definitely teasing her. She sighed deeply and nestled her head against his shoulder, simply wanting to be closer.
Just then, Chris moved his finger over her crotch area and Jill let out a sharp breath, which made Chris stop. "Shit, sorry babe." He moved his hand and groaned, feeling upset with himself. Jill turned her head quickly and shook her head side to side. "What? No. Why'd you stop?" She whispered to him, rubbing his bicep as she gazed at him.
"I thought... I thought you wanted me to stop. I'm sorry. Do you want me to continue?" "I do. Yes." Jill sighed and pressed her head against his shoulder. Chris nodded. "You're comfortable with us... Doing that stuff now?" "I am. I want us to." She stated. Chris was happy when hearing that. He's wanted to for awhile now, but he would've waited as long as she needed.
"Ok." Chris smirked and cupped her cheek, kissing her deeply.

Sunday morning, and you've been awake since five in the morning. It is now going on ten, and you've already seized a big chunk of your day—driving around the city and finding your way to the local grocery store. You picked the one with the smallest building, primarily empty parking lot and one that reminded you of the old days.
The last thing you want during your morning is to be stuck in a store with a crap ton of people. It'll just set you off. You prefer a calm and collected way of shopping for what you need. And for that, you've written up a bulleted list of groceries and other necessities to pick up whilst here.
You even decided to look presentable today, all the while appearing casual!
It is 68° today. It is nice. A light breeze but one that brings a warmth rather than a chill. You're wearing a pair of dark blue jean shorts, one that have the white faded pockets hanging out from the bottom. You also decided to throw on your Matchbox Twenty band T-shirt, one that you've had since you were a teenager and yet, you still fit into it.
It works. You still love their music, even up until now!
However, that's all you really tried with... Your shoes and hair are as plain Jane as ever; Your tennis shoes and your hair down and brushed, not curled nor straightened. You didn't have the patience for that this morning.
Exiting your car, you used your car keys to lock it up before putting them into your brown leather purse with its paisley print strap, one that rests on your shoulder while you amble around and onwards.
That beautiful DC wind hit you the moment you were outside fully. It's nice, honestly. It's definitely a change from Louisiana and California—though you miss both in your own ways.
The grocery store before you is a local one, rather than a chain. It's no Aldis or Trader Joe's but it'll do! Hopefully they'll have all of what you'll need too.
You walked in and music was playing over the intercom. You didn't know the song but it was cute, very fitting for Spring time. An empty cart sat to your left, you took it for yourself and began to push it before you as you explored the shop for the first time ever.
The first two things on your list were bread and bagels, both of which you consider to be must haves in your day to day scene. Bread goes with quite literally everything and bagels? They're your favorite! You almost hope this store will have some new flavors for you to check out.
You spotted a shelf with different breads all over it. You grabbed a load of Hawaiian keto bread, setting it down in the cart. The price was different. A little bit of a ways down were what appeared to be seasonings alongside bagels.
The set up of this store is... Different...
Grabbing the sack of onion and chive bagels, you put them down into your cart and analyzed the seasonings. You already own so many but, you never know.
You're a big cook. You prefer that any day over take out. However, you already have most of these. You sighed to yourself and proceeded to check out all that the store had to offer and in doing so, you then heard a very familiar voice from behind as you were halfway down an aisle full of canned goods.
Turning around, you were surprised to see no one other than Leon Kennedy—your new partner at the D.S.O. You raised an eyebrow then chuckled. "Leon? Funny seeing you here." You rested your arms on your cart and looked at him. Seeing him in such normal attire felt... Weird? Unprofessional?
"Oh yeah, sure is. Didn't think I'd see you again until tomorrow." He ran his hand through his hair, which looked the same as it did on Friday.
Leon was wearing some jean shorts with a long sleeve which seemed contradictory but it suited him.
Nodding, you laughed awkwardly. Why are you such an awkward person?
"Right, ha, yeah. I look forward to tomorrow, for sure." You said. "Nervous at all?" "A little." "That's to be expected." He understood. You eased up at his words and shot him a half smile. "It'll be ok though. Won't be anything too serious, you're still a rookie, technically." He snickered and you did alongside him.
The odd silence was deafening. You then spoke up, knowing it's due to your lack of social cues. "How has your weekend been?" "A bore. Just work. And yours?" "Great, actually. I'm finally settled into my apartment and I'm setting up to fly back to Cali for a weekend, just to see my niece and nephew."
Leon nodded. "You've had an eventful weekend. And niece and nephew? That's sweet... You are an Aunt then?" "Yeppers," you tittered, "Have been for over a decade now." You nodded. "Interesting. I'm guessing you take that role very seriously?" He teased but in a friendly manner. "Oh, absolutely." You smiled.
His eyes trailed down for a moment, then back up to your face. "Matchbox Twenty fan?" Leon asked in a curious voice, his eyebrows cocking upwards and a faint yet noticeable smirk appearing on his face. Glancing down then back up with a huffed out laugh, you nodded. "Raised as one. Always will be." You stated. "I like you more already," he complimented.
Already bonding over music? That is a good sign!
Taking the compliment with some pride, you gave him one back.
"Any fan of them is an awesome person in my book." You giggled and he chuckled, his hands leaving the cart to instead cross his arms over his chest. "Glad to hear it."
Another round of semi awkward quietness overcame your guy's conversation but this time around, he had something to say.
"I don't think I said this during our last conversation but I really do admire your will for all that you do." Leon was being truthful. "Leaving the Army, moving states away and picking this job up out of the plethora I'm more than sure you were offered? Takes guts. Props to you." He cleared his throat.
Hiding your little grin of appreciation, you shook your head and tossed it down. "Thanks, Leon. I'm glad it's being acknowledged but truly, it's nothing." You confessed.
A buzz came from Leon's phone. It wasn't a phone call, but a notification. "It's Kenzie... She's trying to have me come in today but, I refuse unless it's an emergency." You laughed at his words. "I don't blame you then." You understood his stance.
"Well," this is where you know how to pick up social cues: Let this person go.
"I'll let you get back to your shopping but I'll uh, see you tomorrow morning. I really look forward to it." The way he said that made your stomach gain butterflies, which made you want to visibly roll your eyes though, you held it back. "Yeah, yeah, of course." You sound so anxious. It's embarrassing. You hate yourself sometimes.
"See you around." You began to push your cart back, then forwards past him. "Bye." Leon gave you a final look and treaded on himself.
-
Arriving back to your apartment, you had finally unloaded all of your bags. Everything was put into place perfectly.
You can't stop thinking about your interaction with Leon. It was so out of the blue, you hadn't expected to ever see him outside of work and now, it's happened just in your second time meeting him!
So unpredictable DC is.
Nevertheless, you pray tomorrow will go well, and that it won't be weird between the two of you.

Exiting the cart, you jumped onto your feet and yawned. It isn't even late yet and you're already exhausted. All of that labor has impacted you heavily. You just want to sleep. The soldiers got out of the carriage behind you and stretched, yawned, coughed, etc, you're all on the same page it seems.
You angled your head to check on the stable area. You could see Vera poking her head out. "My girl." You began to walk over to the stables to say hello to her. It's been a minute since you've seen her. Stroking her head and kissing her nose area, you expressed to her how much you've missed her. "My little lady, I'm so happy to see you." You tittered, patting her head but then pulling away.
"I am exhausted, Vera. I shall see you tomorrow." You rubbed your nose against hers and said bye to her. You can hardly keep your eyes open. It must be due to the colossal titan burning you and causing you to pass out. That's it. You groaned and began to traverse towards the entrance of the main HQ. You need something to eat. You can literally feel how empty your stomach is, on both food and water.
Walking in, you pushed the doors open to the mess hall and that's when you saw him. Levi. He was just sitting there, drinking a glass of tea and supposedly reading something. You smiled, a derpy one probably. As you started to amble to him, he gazed up and immediately stood up off of the chair. "Dear," He whispered, glancing around the mess hall. No one else was in there besides workers since so many scouts are off on that mission.
Levi went up to you and cupped your face. "Are you okay?" He asked you, analyzing your face. He could clearly tell you were worn out and fatigued. You had burn marks and scratches on your face and collarbone area. "Baby, what happened? Come on." He began to walk off with you but you stopped him. "No, no, I need to eat. It's an order from Erwin." You groaned. Levi paused and glanced at you. "Huh? To eat? It's an order?" "Mhm." Levi scoffed then smiled. "Go to my room, I'll bring you up something."
You nodded and began to tread off to Levi's room/office.
Opening Levi's door, you instantly went for his bed and lied down in it. It was cozy, warm and fresh. You could smell the soap he used on the sheets and pillow cases. Such a clean freak. It's kind of sexy. You nuzzled underneath the blanket, whilst in your dirty clothes-yep. If he gets upset, oh well. What will he do? Punish you? That'd be a treat.
You scanned his room. The entire room represented him. You smiled at it. You wonder if he'd ever be willing to share a room. You're moving too fast, you know.
Your eyes shot to the door as it opened. It was him. You smiled again and waved at him. "Hi dear, sit up." Levi said softly, immediately sitting down at the edge of the bed. You sat up and sighed before leaning your forehead against his strongly built shoulder. He hummed and kissed the top of your head. "While I feed you, tell me all about what happened. Sound good?" "Sounds perfect." You nodded, your face showing clear signs of tiredness.
"First things first, you cannot rest. I can tell you're tired-you have a concussion. Besides that though, what all went down?" "Well," You snorted and took a bite of the soft, mushy bread he was starting to feed you. "Reiner is the armoured titan, Bertholdt is the colossal and they transformed, yada yada, they fought Eren and then kidnapped Ymir... Oh and, Ymir is a titan too! Just like Eren. Historia, once known as Krista is also a part of the royal family. Did I cover it all?" You snickered.
Levi just stared at you. A confused face was evident on his. "I... Wow..." Levi choked out, processing all of what you've just said to him. "Where's Eren?" "Oh, I didn't mention, he's also been kidnapped!" You said in a sarcastically happy voice. Levi groaned and rubbed his nose. "It's always something with that fucking kid." "You're telling me." You giggled. You hope they retrieve them, and safely.
He fed you a spoon full of soup. You slurrped it down and smiled. "It's actually very warm for once." "I made sure it was baby." He whispered, kissing your ear. "How did you get hurt? What happened?" He fed you another bite. After chewing, you spoke up. "Bertholdt whilst in his titan form fell onto the ground and caused us all to get pretty bruised and burnt up, Hange and Mikasa were pretty bad too." "I would've protected you." He whispered. "I know baby." You responded.
"How is your ankle?" You questioned him. "Still hurts but I can walk better." "That's great." You smiled. He nodded and set your soup on his nightstand (You finished the bread quickly). You yawned and he patted his lap. You were quick to climb into it. He held you close, as if you were just a young child. You encased your arms around his neck and snuggled against him. He wrapped his arms around your back and kissed the side of your face.
You pulled your head away from his shoulder area and pressed your lips to his. He breathed in deeply as you did this. Kissing you back, he rubbed your back lovingly. It was a short but passionate kiss. "I despise when you're on a mission and I'm not there to watch over you." Levi murmured, resting his head against your shoulder. You chuckled. "I'm the same way, Levi. I always worry about you." "Me too, my love." He kissed your shoulder, then your neck and up to your jawline.
Giggling, you kissed his lips again. This time, you cupped his thin face in your petite hands. "I love you." You whispered in between kisses. "I love you so much." He cooed, squeezing your rear gently whilst kissing you. It wasn't necessarily an act of lust. Just love. You can touch any part of Levi and have it be out of pure and precious love. Levi is so precious to you, he's very near and dear to your heart.
Levi looked at you and snickered. "Let me get you changed, I don't want you to sleep in that dirty uniform." He lifted you up off of him as if you were a feather. You giggled and sat on his bed. "You okay with just wearing one of my shirts?" Levi asked you as he opened his wooden closet. You bit your lip and nodded, "Mhm!" You said loudly. You are more than okay with that.
Shortly after Levi went to his closet, he came back with a baggy long sleeve button up shirt. You smirked and stood up. "Sit back down dear, I'll do this for you." You rolled your eyes. "You know I can take care of myself." "I do, but I'm your lover, let me take care of you." You giggled at his words and plopped back down onto the bed. He kneeled before you and began to take off your tied up brown boots.
Once both were off, you felt a bit weird when he kissed the top of your foot, then looked up at you. "Don't give me that look. I'd kiss every part of your body." He said in a deep, husky voice. You blushed. You hope he means that. He undid your harnesses and tossed them to the side. His hands went to your button and you looked away. He noticed and smirked. "There's just no way you still feel shy with me baby... I've seen every inch of you." He hummed, kissing your knee as he pulled your biege pants off.
"I'm sorry." His head shot up when you said that. "For what? You've done nothing wrong." He whispered softly. He then stood up. "Arms up baby." You listened. He removed your jacket and gently folded it, setting it down on the chair. You cleared your throat as he removed your shirt. You're now just in your bra and underwear. He smiled. "You're so pretty." He said softly, bringing his head to yours and kissing you softly. Does he want to make love to you again?
You bit your lip before speaking up. "Do you want to..." You paused, becoming very shy. He turned his head and smirked. "I would love to... Once you recover though." He kissed the top of your head before slipping his shirt over your head and buttoning it up for you. You couldn't help but titter. He makes you feel so special. You would've never expected this. He's so sweet. So caring. You truly love him.
After he put you in his shirt, he smirked and kissed you again. "Want me to make us some tea?" "I'm good, but you can make yourself some." You replied, climbing up further into his bed and resting your head against the wall. Levi smirked and sat down beside you. "Come here." He laid down, putting his arms out. You sighed softly and laid down against his chest.
His hand went up to your hair, playing with it gently. "Do you think you have a concussion?" You sat your head up and looked at him before chuckling. "I don't know... Maybe?" "It's not safe to sleep with one, that's why I am asking." "I'm tired." You whined. "I know dear... Try to rest then, I'll wake you up soon, make sure you don't die in your sleep or anything." Levi snickered. You scoffed and cuddled up to the crook of his heated neck.
He leaned down and kissed your head. "Get some rest baby." He whispered.
