āYou know Dreddy Kruger?ā Jeremy asked not even bothering to defend his beloved Wu-Tang clan. He didnāt ponder it to much because he was busy responding.Ā āIf we are going to talk about worshiping rappers, we arenāt going to take about Dreddy Kruger. Heās not even apart of the original group.ā Jeremy turned onto a side street and for maybe the first time the whole ride, he drove at a reasonable speed.āI donāt know but theyāre rad and I definitely think we should bring that shit back. I mean weāre ripping everything else out of the 90ā²s why not rip that to?ā
He pulled around the back of an apartment building and started patting around in his pockets before he stopped and looked at her. It was a look worthy of the office, Michael Scott would have been proud.āYou want me to sell my unintentional collection of rap albums? Course, I havenāt thought about it. Gah, you sound like my parents. Iām not dumb or anything I just suck in school, like my grades blow, so I donāt really see the point of it. Not like itās going to do much.ā He snorted and went back to searching.Ā āIf I look so bad then why donāt you like..I donāt know do something about it.ā Finally,he found it. His grin widened exponentially and he slid it back into his pocket.Ā āNah, Iām not real be into assigned reading and thoseĀ āfor dummiesāĀ books are dry as fuck.ā
āDoes follow me count?ā He asked as he turned the engine off and opened his door.Ā āI hope so,āhe said and he walked around the other side to open the door for her,ācause thatās all I got at the moment.ā He headed towards the passenger side and grabbed a black backpack before turning towards her and motioning for her to follow.Ā
"It'd do you good," she half-joked. "It's not even about the grades anymore, I'm just afraid that if you keep listening to trashy rhyme with techno background music, you'll end up on the street, trying to make your own art." she watched him for a second, before speaking again. "And that'd be horrendous. Not necessarily for you, like, I'm sure you wouldn't give too much damn, but what would I say if people asked? They'd find out that I know you, and I don't want everyone to think I was once friends with a rapper." she wasn't being entirely serious, of course not. After pushing her hair behind her ear, she glanced at him again. "I've tried to convince you to change, but that's it. I'm not gonna waste my time fighting your stubborness."Ā
She rolled her eyes at him, but eventually accepted that she wasn't gonna get a proper hint. She sighed, for a moment struggling with the seatbelt, but once she managed to unfasten it, she jumped out of the van and looked around.Ā
Nope. She couldn't tell where they were, and because at some point she stopped paying attention to the road, she wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't even Evanston anymore. Like, they could as well just be in the middle of Springfield or something. Jill just sighed, crossing her arms over her chest as she watched him swing the backpack over his shoulder. First 90's rap, and now what? Picnic on a cold mountain in the middle of the night? However, she decided to not question his motives or anything and instead just politely followed behind, constantly looking around.
āItās only three more months, I can deal until then,ā she sighed.Ā āBut for now Iāll be hiding out anywhere I can.ā
āAre you sure? Weāre talking about a psychopathās daughter here.ā Jill frowned just thinking about it.Ā āWhatever,ā she rolled her eyes before going back to folding some t-shirts.Ā āYouāre always welcome here. My roommateās been MIA for few weeks, so if you need somewhere to sleep, the possibly infected bed over there is all yours.āĀ
Sorry, the gym is currently being used right now.
Yes, I noticed. Why the hell areĀ you here? At this time, itās usually a bunch of girls practicing volleyball.Ā

Jeremy laughed and quickly glanced from the road to her grinning.Ā āHell yeah itās Russian rap. Iām pretty sure thatās Detslās album. Heās good his beats are kinda weak but heās got a good flow.ā With every CD she pulled out Jeremy would glance from the road to see it and then give her a brief run down of the artist. He spoke quickly and lively throwing out more niche terms then normally used words. He sounded a bit like some sort of dork babbling on and on about the Fantastic Four but instead of superheros it was rap music.āIām pretty sure Iāve got Logicās albums in there. Now, heās good, Good beat, good flow, heās a bit of a chameleon though,ā he patted his hands against the steering wheel,ādoesnāt have his own sound.Driving Ms. Daisy is still my favorite though. I donāt give a shit what critics have to sayā
He laughed again,ā what are you talking about? Tha Carter IV is a classic. I dunno, man, 2005 era Kanye sounds a little bit better then that new shitty Carly Roy whatās her name.ā He swerved the car then narrowly missing a stray cat had decided to camp out in the middle of the road. The van groaned and Jeremy ran a cautious eye over his dash. Heād probably have to look into that later. He frowned what if it were so bad that he actually had to pay something to look at it. Now that would suck.Ā
His attention turned back to the person sitting next to him and at the very sound of her voice he grinned. It was just nice having someone with him, that was it. Sorta.Ā āI can give you a hint,ā he said turning down a brightly lit if still sort of dingy side street ,ā weāre kinda to close for me to want to tell you now. I mean weāve made it so far why ruin it now.ā
Jill, who at this point wasn't even catching up anymore, just shook her head. "I'll never understand these rappers and their choice of street-names. Like, Dreddy Kruegerāā knowing you, you probably worship the guy, but whatever. Not the point. Does someone just wake up one morning and think 'Hey, it'd be so cool if I started choking out random rhymes under the name of 'Dreddy Krueger'!'" she raised her eyebrows, kinda surprised that she remembered that someone like that, in fact, existed. But that's how it is when you spend few years trying to become a Plasticāāā you'll get to hear a lot of weird shit. But now that she was hanging out with Jeremy, the source of 'what the Hell are you talking about, bro?', it maybe wasn't all that weird anymore.Ā
"Have you everāā I don't know, thought about selling these? Investing in something better, like, education? Clothes that don't make you look like a massive twat? A "How not to Speak in Bullshit Slangs all Day Long" handbook for dummies?" she smirked, looking over at him, before looking once again at the albums, shaking her head at the oh-so-creative titles and covers.Ā
She focused on the road again, not recognizing this part of neighborhood. Or whatever it was supposed to be. Ladies like her, in high heels like those she wore on daily basis, didn't spend their quality time near places like this. She rested her chin on her hand, furrowing her brows at him. "I'll accept a hint." she said, finally.

"Hey, thanks for letting me hang in here for a bit,ā Brynn said and sat up from the persons bed, looking away from her phone.Ā āGretaās been driving me crazy since I got back.ā
āYou know,ā Jill started, focusing slightly more on the clothes she was folding than on the girl.Ā āI think itās time you kick out your obsessive admirer.āĀ
Get over yourself, shithead.Ā
Just outā getting fresh air. You?
Oh, you knowā just on my way to steal all of your friends, fuck your crush and hijack your car. The usual.Ā
āIām telling you, whatever you heard about me is all lies. Do I look like I talk, anyway?ā
Seems to me like you might talk slightly too much.Ā

"Yeah, would you have preferred me go with the bike? I mean itās a good ride but itās bit cold for that,"he said breezily. He laughed,"maybe next time." It was Ā little while late before what he had said really clicked in his head and by then it was to late. Next time, but who was their to say that there was even going to be a next time. He could never tell with Jill. Even after everything, Jeremy wasnāt sure if it was a this one time kinda deal. He was pretty sure and pretty sure was pretty good most of the time. He didnāt waist the brain power to try to think any harder about it much more content with just enjoying the moment. Thinking about it would just make his head hurt anyway, and who wanted that? Certainly not Jeremy. āThis van is my baby,āhe said patting the top of the dash affectionately.Ā
"Yeah, I got it," he said before sitting the key in the ignition and twisting. Nothing happened. Jeremy swore and tried it again. The second time seemed to do the trick and the primordial engine sputtered to life. He frowned at the dash,"the colds no good for it." He slid out of his blazer and tossed it to her before turning the heat on high. "It takes a little while to heat up," he explained as he threw the van into reverse. He pushed his foot to the gas and the van knocked over a nearby trashcan. Jeremy switched gears and drove forward running into some stupid garden statute then they where free of the space and already heading down the rode. "Iāve got cdās in the glove box and the radio works so you can put something on."
This time instead of speaking, she gave him the "thanks" kind of nod, before reaching out and grabbing the glove box. After a moment of looking at the CD's and deciding whether to start laughing or crying, she looked up and glanced over at him. "Is that Russian hip-hop?" she asked, sounding more surprised than expected, eyebrows raised, the amused 'what the hell, man' look on her face. She didn't wait for an answer, though. Instead, she went back to looking through the CD collection, the smirk on her face growing, the "dude what" becoming more intense.Ā
"Right," she finally said, putting the box away. "I'm gonna have to say no to Lil Wayne and crew. Actually, at this point national radio sounds like a better alternative." she stated with a laugh, not really planning to give his music a chance. Not that she wasn't curious, or something, but the too-cool-for-school-attitude was still a thing, so she'd rather later secretly look up all the weird-sounding stuff on YouTube and never admit that she listened to it.Ā
She looked out the window, though didn't really see much. It was dark, and the, like, two streets lights that were there weren't really helping. Especially not the one with the flickery bulb. It looked kinda like a scene from a horror movie, or something, and the only thing that was missing was a dying person suddenly jumping in front of the car, making them stop, then turning into a zombie and eating them. Jill turned her head, slightly. "So, are you sure you can't tell me where we're going?"
ā¦.Itās for my grandmaās 70th birthday. Iāll pay you later, I promise.

Now, thatās the real bullshit. Why be like Ginny when I can be Claudia? and Itās pretty fucking great so. It is, but Ginny and I have a level of respect for each other and I know fairly well in what cases she would do so.
Because no one gives a flying fuck about Claudia? Awesome. Hit me up when you decide between sluts and druggies.Ā
Well, actually, youāll be surprise to know that thereās a fair share of plastics who donāt want to be Virginia Kennedy-Spade. She happens to be the so called leader of my so called clique and I happen to accept that. I donāt care about it enough.Ā
Bullshit. Every rich, popular girl wants to be like Ginny. That, or they already believe they are. Like you three seconds ago, claiming that you could shove people into lower cliques. Isn't that the leader's job, only?
