I really havent been in the mood for anything. except for katamari apparently I've been playing healthy amounts of katamari. the new game is really fun and im obsessed with the new music too, i do prefer the older game's music but fuuuuckkk it keeps getting stuck in my head LOL . all of you should get once upon a katamari so we can play katamari ball. this is an order from me shady shadycap

Calamar's headcanons are mostly just based on his in game tag "attention-seeking bassist" (in the game it says bass-dropper but its actually a really weird miss-translation of the word bassist) He's more brash and i guess "splatsville-y" than shady is, he plays the bass and digs rougher music , he doesn't study anything in particular because he's one of those people that's spent most of his time on his passion for music, so he doesn't want any life other than the one hes got already, which some might see as unproductive. I still like to pair him up with anemone and hiro because i cant help myself they look like they'd be friends LOL. Unlike shady whos a little more ?? idk whats the word. excitable i guess. calamar isn't very active in the action of inksports. hes pretty flat and quiet during battle, spends his time focused on what everyone's doing. which is the opposite of shady who gets distracted pretty easily. + Calamar's demeanor is a little?? okay i have no idea how to describe it. somewhere between cocky and aloof. a weird mix of the two , which. sounds contradictory but just feel my vision through the screen he wants to look cool and nonchalant haha

Shady is not an exact opposite to cal, but he's got some major differences in the fact he's more concerned with his life and his future than he is for any art or sport-related passions, partially because his passion is in his study in medicare :^) he's into the way people work and think and likes to understand and apply that knowledge. unlike calamar who has a more silent and focused way of being, Shady is more on the awkward doesnt-know-what-to-do end , a little fidgety , stares at people blankly a lot and he's generally seen as kind of air-headed. Shady is still intelligent and capable of applying that knowledge. he's just. not great at expressing himself other than O_O unless he's having the time of his life. these are like . the mega cliff notes versions of the hcs but some other notes are that shady was born in inkopolis but moved to splatsville to study and calamar was born and raised in splatsville

#yuup maybe one day ill draw more finished art of them to show off my hcs better (edit: really small thing i forgot to add but cal's ears are the normal playable inkling size and shady's ears are small :^D)
