I remember how weirded out I was when I used my gmail to buy a plane ticket, and right away the info appeared in my phone calendar, about day, time of flight etc. To some it might even seem convenient, but it’s creepy. It scanned through my personal mail and acquired confidential info about my private life. It’s not normal. I’ve had all my ‘info storing’ options in the Google setting turned off for a while now, and I still don’t feel safe, knowing it’s up to them to do that.

Don’t forget to also turn of the add personalization!!

Yeah it is all creepy but a lot of this information is played out in the terms and conditions which I doubt very many people actually read. Honestly I've only even read maybe 4? Probably only 2 tbh but regardless there are ways to disable this stuff and it is sad that it really does breach so much privacy but since the t&c is accepted it all falls on us to pause the tracking flow. Some of this information can be used for legal investigations so there may be a few things that can not ever be totally "untracked/recorded".
