I’ve grown up in Greenville all my life, but really don’t have any affiliation with ECU besides football games and hometown pride. I’m a “townie” (sidenote: I really hope we aren’t called that, I just made it up). ANYWAYS, heres my guide to surviving ghetto-vegas.

DON’T speed on 14th street. 

If you wear a ECU shirt during move-in weekend, chances are everyone will know you are a freshman. 

If you choose to take a picture with the sign at the corner of 5th street, I will judge you, and also thats like a neon sign above your head screaming I’M A FRESHMAN.

Get a GPS.

Don’t go past the gas station on 10th Street by the railroad tracks. Unless you’re looking for drugs, prostitutes, or wanting to get shot. 

RAINBOOTS

We don’t get scared about hurricanes or bad weather, they’re the norm, so we just get drunk.

Go to the new walmart. It’s cleaner, less busy, and you won’t get shot.

The Harris Teeter near campus will card you. They aren’t stupid, they know what a fake ID looks like.
