Angry Birds Blog

Four pigs and a bird is hardly enough manpower to make it to an island at great speed. The ship is small, and the crew is comprised of teenagers who barely know how to ride a car, let alone a boat. Despite that, they managed to reach Bird Island by nightfall. It took ten hours, but they made it. The anchor drops before snapping completely off of the ship, and the sighs of those on board are heard. The island is quiet. The residents most likely asleep at this time. Egg season was starting again and it was important to get some rest. Not that the pigs and Silver knew this. The eggs were not their concern right now. The five of them one by one hopped from the ship to the sand, muttering about low food supplies and sun burns acquired from the trip. “Where are we?”  asks Oliver, a pig with a scarred snout from an accident from years ago. “I don’t know” was his reply from Paula, a rather large porker with freckles scattered across her cheeks. The group looks around. Some distracted by the sand on the beach, while some: Martha, Hector, and Silver, wandered off to the tropical forests. They’ll eventually find something to figure out what island this was, and exploring is always a fun idea when you’re at sea! Or at least that’s the general idea shared amongst them. Hector mostly wanted to find some food. “There’s a lot of fruit on these trees!” Martha points out, plucking an apple from a low branch. She takes a bite and tosses it to Hector. “Since you’re so hungry.” Now, in a community of humans, that gesture would have been considered rude. But to pigs, sharing was caring–especially when it came to treats. Hector gives Martha a huge grin before swallowing the apple whole, while Silver giggles at the scene. “Hector ya didn’t even chew it!” the grey feathered falcon chirps, patting him on the back. “Didn’t need to! I’m fine ain’t I?” “You sure are–Now c'mon, I think I see some light!” In the distance was the village where the native population lived. There were a few lights on, from the homes of those who stayed up doing who knows what. Hopefully not something illegal, but that’s what usually the night is for. That, and partying. Not that there would be any parties tonight. —- Terence was alone. Sometimes he’ll get visits from others, but most of the time the bird was alone. People were intimidated by his size and stature. It couldn’t be helped. Tonight the giant bird occupied himself with reading a novella written by Matilda. She was a beautiful bird, and they had once dated but things got too busy for their relationship to last. Fortunately, Terence wasn’t too heartbroken by it. He understood when a bird needed space. Especially him of all birds. He did miss having someone to talk to, though. That will change tonight. The cardinal heard a knock on the door. Careful as always, the big bird peered out of the window. To his surprise, not only did he see two pigs–he saw two pigs, and a falcon accompanying them! Well, that’s not something you see every day. The bird was not one for attention, though. He did not find the idea of causing a panic fun, and he simply opened the door to let the teenagers inside. Or rather, he pulls them in before any bird sees them. Of course, that causes a scare. “I-Is that..” “A…It’s a bird!” The pigs say in a horrified tone, their eyes full of terror as Terence stared at the three. Meanwhile, Silver is confused by all of this. She heard a word she only heard a few times in her life, and now she’s seeing a creature she’s never seen before! Her head tilts as if trying to get a better look at the massive red animal in front of them. “What’s a bird?”

Definitely big changes.
