When working with kobolds that have trouble communicating, try giving them Y/N questions! Though, fun fact, answering Y/N to some kobolds is communicated instead through “Yip/Nip,” so do be aware they may try and bite you!

I love kobolds so much.

As a dragon, this probably isn’t a surprise. But like, I especially love it when they’re hypercompetent and also very silly at the same time. Something that goes claw-in-claw with that is my firm belief that the number of kobolds in one spot has a significant positive effect on their cuteness and a significantly negative effect on their competence.

You ask one kobold to clean a kitchen and they’ll get the job done relatively well and efficiently. You ask three kobolds to clean a kitchen and you can come back four hours later to see all three passed out on the floor, covered in flour with shards of broken dishes in the sink and there’s a live chicken wandering around for some reason.

But of course, that’s cute as fuck, so sometimes we dragons ask them to do it anyway and then just use magic to clean up the carnage later.

Henlo. Why do kobolds write down every part of their history? As a toaster who is toootally not a kobold I would not know. Do you?

Most kobolds aren't too keen on writing things down, however the combination of high populations and cramped burrows means that those who do love to write dont have much space to do so, and with how fast stories travel through kobold communities, combined with how old dragons can get and how many stories they can collect over the years, it may seem like surely everything is written down, but that's just the surface! Kobolds have so much history and culture that varies greatly from den to den and if you really want to know it all you have to hear it firsthand. Kobolds also (allegedly) founded lokharic the written language of draconic, and some elemental languages!
