I miss them so bad

Thinking about those episodes of Fellow Travelers set in the 80s, where Tim is dying. He's old, his hair has gone gray, he's sick, he can barely walk, his skin is covered in lesions, he literally has a deadly infectuous disease and Hawk looks at him like he's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. Objectively, he's not Hawk's "boy," youg and sweet and cute as a button, anymore. And yet Hawk climbs into his bed and holds him and kisses him and rushes immediately to help him and doesn't hesitate even for a moment to end up covered in Tim's blood and looks at him with all the adoration and devotion that he never had for the woman he actually married.
