THAT’S IT. THAT’S THE POST. IT’S ALL THAT MATTERS.

“What’s interesting about this ever-changing world is that it’s not the same world I grew up in. It’s completely different. Symbolically, we all deal with people judging us and feeling left out or whatever, but my god, I never had to go through not being invited to a sleepover or party and seeing that party happen in real time on social media. I would not get invited to sleepovers and parties and then I’d be dreading Monday morning because I’d be like “ugh, they’re all gonna be talking about all the fun stuff they did while I was like sitting at home with my guitar.” Which ended up being a fruitful way to pass the weekend. But I think that kids now are facing much harder circumstances like the fact that that isolation and rejection hits in real time. I can’t begin to give you advice, all I can do is empathize and say “I see you, I see your struggles, I see how hard that is. It’s harder than what I had to go through. So hang in there, I have no idea how you’re dioing it. Also you don’t have to look like a filter. You’re great. That’s all I would say Filters are fun and cute and I love putting flowers on my face as much as everyone else. But don’t think you have to be a cartoon. You’re beautiful. Real skin is beautiful.”
