know this is exactly how i feel right now with melanie and sincere from love island usa season 8. but it’s even worse because it’s real people. and it’s happening live and the audience actually plays a role in eliminations. so they’re not there because of production, the PEOPLE put them there. this is why i believe that alejandro and heather, despite being fictional characters from a cartoon, adopted sincere as their reality-tv-cash-cow son. melanie you are in my thoughts and prayers

now think to the final agni kai in atla, when zuko took lightning for katara. the things that he had always wanted: honor, his father’s respect, his birthright to the throne, becoming fire lord—he gave all of it up to save katara. after all that katara had been through because of the fire nation—he knew that saving her would give her a fighting chance to end the war. his new dream was to not only help the avatar defeat ozai and end the war, it also involved the rest of the world—especially katara—to find justice and peace, to live a life free from oppression.

so can an american please explain to me how a group of couples were asked to decide on two couples who are the least compatible to get dumped from the villa… and none of them said SINCERE AND MELANIE

like i get all the excuses, melanie is well-liked and friends with everyone in the villa, but this is LOVE island NOT FRIENDS ISLAND

so, based off the definition of compatibility (to have a harmonious, well-suited relationship; to work together successfully without conflict or problems; to simply get along well), how come only like 2 couples understood the assignment? and i’m not sorry, if everyone in that villa understood what compatibility meant and still believed that melanie and sincere were more compatible than the rest of the couples then this is what their decision meant:

amora and gal, and jaiden and caleb, in their very short time as couples, are least compatible than melanie and sincere. amora and gal, despite having zero arguments and being coupled up for less than 24 hours, have less compatibility than a couple that has been consistently in conflict for over 3 weeks. jaiden and caleb, having come off of only 1 argument since getting coupled up, still have less compability than a couple that have been in more arguments than the number of weeks they’ve been coupled up
