Timeline
3 May 27, 2016 There are some things that should've been learned about a long time ago. Or should've been found. Or earned. But we all have our own timeline of things. Two for each of us- that one we drew on a paper like a ghant chart indicating the target dates for every goal, and that one that our actual life sets for us. If we imaagine all of us putting up our timelines on the corkboard of our galaxy, we'd find out that it could be the most diverse-like fingerprints unique to each individual- that even the gods couldn't find a pair that would actually match. My timeline, in terms of career, hasn't been progressing towards the finish line. It is never stagnant, it's been shifting in forward and reverse directions, like a pre-school kid who is yet undecided to attend school. If i am going to compare it to another living thing, my timeline on the adult life part would appear like three different species of seedlings, others would probably be just one type of plant that's been growing its roots, taking it's territory, becoming strong and productive. The timeline I drew in my head is 80% different and divergent of what is actually printed on it now. I am not saying I regret being many things, I am saying that I should've been more rigid about some things. I should've been more controlling about the paths I took. My credentials may show many things and appear great to some, but right now, it appears just like a joyride around the city and never really finding the exit to the bigger city. It's a little bit late but now I know that there is a right time to have or achieve something, and there are also times that one will never have some of the things he wants. Patience may be a very boring virtue but it would be nice to wait for the right timing of things. What is important is that in this lifetime, no matter how chaotic the timeline gets, things still happened, or will happen. So I say, whatever your circumstances are right now, carry on. Things will fall into their right places. Proceed, despite. 🙂
