Yikes! So Update, such speed.
Sorry for not posting for a loooong time. Its been a while since I've been working on my project @ BumbleBee AUV Team. Am intending to apply for GSoC! I have since left the team to pursue my studies and pick up some skills with regards to robotics and home automation.
Work that I've done for BBAUV
I designed, programmed and assembled 2 boards (Power Monitoring Board andΒ Power Distribution Board) for the AUV. The progress of the monitoring board was ok, we managed to get the board to work as intended. The design for the distribution board was quite complicated and required some extensive soldering skills. I didn't manage to complete the board due to lack of resources. The development work is now in the hands of my friend Huan The Hoang (a Vietnamese who has had quite a bit of experience with EE).
My work(s) can be found at the github linkΒ https://github.com/jellyjellyrobot/electronics
Some work that I'm currently doing
Not much. I have been working on a system for my university, a mifare based quiz game using nfc cards as team-answer identifiers.
I'm also concentrating my efforts into home automation with motion/distance sensors, servos, steppers, mifare.
I've also started on gnu radio research and have been able to recieve ADSB broadcasts from my dorm room...

I recently obtained a 2012 13" MacBook Air (MBA) to use as a development laptop. The documentation on installing and running Linux on this year's model is fairly sparse and had to be collected and verified from numerous sources, so I'm summarizing it here in this post in the hopes it will be helpful to others. Follow these instructions at your own risk, and acknowledge that I accept no responsibility for possible damage that could happen to your computer due to following these instructions.
