Up in Heaven, a new arrival sat on the edge of the sky, looking down at the earth. His eyes were full of life, sparkling, but his heart was sad.

Sensing his sadness, God came to see him.

“Why are you so sad, Bob?”

Bob replied, “I love painting, but there is nothing to paint.”

God thought about what Bob had said, wondering what he could do to help. Then an idea struck him.

“Not at all!” He said, “We need someone to paint the clouds in the sky; all the other painters have refused in favour of painting the faces onto soon-to-be newborns”

Bob Ross’s heart lifted and a shining smile appeared on his face. To celebrate his joy, God gave him wings.

They folded out and he flew down to Earth making sure that each cloud he painted was special, and never unloved.
