they’re with each other every day but for us it feels like a lifetime ago (i’m in the mood for the dramatics today /j)

I'm both scared and excited to see how they act together publicly now compared to NWH press...

For NWH they'd only been back together for a year (give or take, depending on when you believe they got back together) with 3 months of that being spent completely apart because of COVID, then them living relatively separate lives bi-coastally seeing each other every few weeks, and only having been publicly outed as a couple for about 4 months. Whereas now when we see them they'll have not only been back together for almost 6 years (again, give or take depending on when you believe they got back together), live together and have their lives completely entangled to the extent that they don't go more than a couple of weeks without seeing each other at the absolute most, have been publicly linked together for 5 years and ARE married.

And whereas the tomdayers have patiently endured cockroaches in their inboxes and periods of drought and jumping behind cars and “mates” and the months of darkness we don’t speak of and the TCR haircut…

And whereas the fine people at Buzzfeed finally teed up the perfect softball for Mr. Holland to hit out of the unhinged park…

I, fsugirl, unofficial chair of the sappy committee, do hereby declare June 13th to be RIZZ DAY.

Warmest wishes to all who observe. And sorrows, sorrows, prayers to the rest of you fools.

I admit it, I was swept up in the moment. I saw his handsome face and that sweet only when he talks about her smile and I heard him say he was locked up and in love and…well I didn’t stop and see the big picture. I was willing to settle for crumbs when our man wanted to give us a full meal just a few hours later. I underestimated just how much he wanted to destroy us. I rushed to declare June 13 as RIZZ DAY and I was wrong. I failed to exercise good judgment. I sincerely ask for your forgiveness.

As a good-faith effort to earn back your trust, I humbly propose that henceforth June 13 be named RIZZ DAY EVE and that June 14 be given its rightful title as RIZZ DAY. This revision will allow us all to devote more hours to truly celebrate the gift we have received and mark the occasion for years to come.

Again, I apologize for letting my excitement run away with me. Thank you for the opportunity to make this right.

I rarely get to hop on here anymore. My eyes are giving up and sometimes its just too much even to scroll.

But I think of you lovely people often. I hope you’re being kind to yourself and others. I hope you’re pausing to savor the beauty around you and pushing back against the darkness whenever you can.
