Tom will never have a small role in a big movie. He will always have the oportunity to play either the lead or colead simply because he is a white popular man. Doesn’t matter how popular Z is, doesn’t matter that she has a better filmography and it doesn’t matter that she has dozens of prestigious awards. She is still a black woman in an industry that is all about white men. She is doing the best with what she has.

And when Z fans get upset about it, it’s not insecurity. It’s the feeling of injustice. Because at the end of the day there’s a ceiling for her that is not there for tom.

The only thing that is healing about all this is that she is writing her name in the history of fashion and Hollywood. Because her story is unique. Her as a star is unique. There is no one like her. And she will be remembered.

how many times does it have to be said that Z is choosing the roles she takes at this point. she’s not being forced to just take whatever role is given to her. why are we still acting like Z only has tiny roles in small movies. her career trajectory for a young black woman in her 20s who grew up in a regular family in Oakland is INCREDIBLE. let’s stop acting like she’s just settling for what she’s given because she simply is not

Many fandoms would trade places with the Z fandom in a New York minute. Her stans can look at everything she’s accomplished and still not be happy. Her “cameos” in HoCo and Dune 1 really traumatized them. Which makes no sense in anyone’s mind because she still willingly took them on knowing they would lead to bigger roles, aka second billed, in the subsequent films.

With stans likes these, she really doesn’t need filmtwt haters🫩

It’s funny bc Hoco was literally her first movie. She was a Disney kid that was slowly starting to make a name in fashion. But her capital at that point was minimal. So to be upset by a minor role in her first major movie that she KNEW was turning into THE love interest for the title character is LOL

If I may, I think 2016-2019 Zendaya would be shocked at where she's ended up but also ecstatic. She's happy, she's loved, she's successful in many ways. She's doing things she only dreamed. Seems like the kind of life one's past self would want to see.
