My mom died, Friday, June 14th. I was with her, I took care of her and she lived with me. Not even a week later I was getting texts like this from my landlord.
I Need Some Help to pay my rent on time, so I don't lose my housing as well!!! $1900 out of $4500 paid so far.
My rent has been late because I couldn't really do anything besides provide care for my mom. Then I had to pay for her cremation. Less than a week and my landlord sent me this text. I'm not prepared to move, let alone from the last place my mom was alive. While I've never encountered this level of callousness there isn't much I can do but pay. My rent is $4500 and the account I shared with my mom is currently frozen because of her death.
