Animation Tips for beginning animators #1-3
When animating on my Nintendo 3DS, I would often be asked by young aspiring artists for advice on animation. So last year, I decided to animate some tips for beginners. This video was made entirely on my 3DS so I apologize for the poor audio quality.
This is a compilation of 3 videos where I talk about:
-Drawing basic forms
-Spacing
-Overlap and Follow Through
(Even though I’m animating on my 3DS using an app called “Butterfly Animation”, I wouldn’t recommend it for students since its timeline is difficult to use, has a 30fps base frame rate instead of 24fps, and a memory limit of only 100 drawings. Instead, I recommend “Rough Animator” for the iPad for beginners wanting to try animation.)
