“You can say that again. And hunting them down, don’t forget that one.”

“Well, at least you’re in good company.  There’s pretty much a warrant out for everyone’s arrest.”

“Well, that’s reassuring. They stand no chance that way.”

“Welcome to the club.”

“Thanks for the welcome. I’m Jessica.”

“I think people would be foolish to, though SHIELD seems to be lacking in thinking things through.”

“Both true. I’m not someone you mess with and they definitely aren’t doing anything smart. Starting a war with heroes, real ones, is ridiculous.”

“Looks like you’re a bit of a rebel. I like that.”

“You could say that. I’m not big on rules, I take it you’re not either?”

“What? Nah, I mean there’s one out for mine too. I figure its probably safer to be together at this point.” 

“You’re probably right about that. I don’t think they’ll have much luck though. There’s not much tactical awareness, considering who they’re going after.”

              “–I am probably not the only one who thinks SHIELD has a stick up their ass lately…

                   But I could be wrong….”

“You’re definitely not wrong. And they just keep getting more fucking ridiculous.”

Steve took her hand and got to his feet.  “I sure hope so,” he said, looking over his shoulder.  “At least I know I’ll heal faster, right?”

Jessica chuckled, “Very true, you got those healing genes.” Her eyes scanned the area for potential threats. “So who got the jump on Captain America?”

“I’m alright for now.  So is my family; it could be worse, I suppose.  I really wanted to stay out of this, but I just don’t think that’s going to be possible anymore.”

“No, I don’t think so. They’re wrangling us up now, apparently. If you need any help, let me know. Don’t think it’ll be an option to hide out with Carol and Stark on the case.”

“Find out where Stark is? Take his Iron man armour, probably make a good start.”

“Hey, if you’re looking to do that, let me know. You got help.”

I’d argue that those who do agree aren’t affected by the Acts or… just don’t know any better.

That’s a good point, hadn’t thought about it like that.

“Could be better. Still a little pissed about the whole ‘hunting down heroes’ thing. How are you, Wanda? You’re more involved in this than me.”

“Then you’re among friends here.”

“Good to hear. So is there anything I can be doing? I got some wicked detective experience.”

“They can try.”

“And fail. I’m not letting them take anyone I care about.”

“I’m Logan. There’s no way I’m going to let anyone arrest me for NOT being on a register, fuck that shit.”

“They’re arresting people now? Shit.”
