“hey. call me as soon as you hear this it’s super important.” june let out a sigh before ending the call.

“i might have to take you up on that offer.” he jests, a charming smile pressed to his features as she spoke. “only if you promise to take me to australia. i want to hold a koala bear !” he continues excitedly, giving a nod of his head. it was a dream that was probably too out of reach for him… at least right now. he barely had enough money to fly back home for spring break this time around. and that’s after he’d been saving up for it. “no… no need to feel stupid.” he waves his hand in dismissal, tossing her another smile in hopes of alleviating some of her nerves. he brought a hand up to push his hair back, “ah, i hope so. that’s the ultimate goal. i think i’d be happy with state senator… even a lobbyist. whatever i can do to help.” he really did have a huge heart: it got him in trouble sometimes. “it’s fine.” he insists, “just want you to know i’m in it for the people, not my own self-benefit. definitely not my style…”

brooke shot her a quick glare, shaking her head at her. june always bailed on her workout plans, but she knew one day she’d get the petite girl to come along. “ don’t worry, one day i’ll trick you & we’ll somehow end up at the gym. can’t wait. “ she said, blowing her a kiss. “exactly, baby! as nelly furtado said, i’m a promiscuous girl..tonight.” she said, while letting out a small laugh. “oh please, your sweet ass will find a mister right before i do. i can guarantee that!” brooke said, sliding her phone out from her pocket and scrolling through it for a second before turning her attention back to june. “nope! everything looks perfect. i think i’m okay being seen with you.” brooke teased, walking over to june and taking out her phone. “it’s snapchat story time.” she instructed, pulling out her phone again and standing in front of the mirror with the girl beside her. “perfect.” brooke said, showing her the selfie. “are we feeling shots tonight? ‘cause i brought my fave shot glasses. “ brooke said, pulling her two hot pink shot glasses out from her bag and setting them on the dresser.

“didn’t know you smoked, princess.” off to a great start then. now that she’s outside she can’t remember why she even stepped out in the first place. she wasn’t having a bad time, definitely not a good one though. this whole night has been a waste of time and for once she regrets going out.

it’s far too windy outside for the outfit she’s wearing but she pays no mind to it and takes a seat next to june, plucking the cigarette from her fingers to take a drag herself. it’s the first time in weeks since they’ve spend time alone and she can’t help but to notice the unspoken tension between them. betania blames herself. she projected her insecurities onto the girl beside her, giving june a bad impression from the start. she can’t help that she feels threatened by people who make her feel like she’s a shitty person. “why are you outside?”

june eyes fixated on the others face before she recognized who they were. “i’m usually not one to smoke but i’m pretty tipsy and i really wanted one.” she replied with the shrug of her shoulders. smoking was a disgusting habit that she never ever wanted to take part of but for some reason it sounded like a good idea when she was intoxicated. 

he had been playing until dawn when she called. he couldn’t believe he actually left the game to pick her up, or maybe he could? she was a sweet girl, a sweet girl that he wanted to make sure had someone to count on. luckily for him, he hadn’t had a drink all night, of course not. as much as he was into drinking, he didn’t get invited out to parties. well. yes he did, but often times he didn’t want to go to them. a man can only take so much rejection in one day, and drunk girls could be mean. “of course little j, i’ll get you home and turned on your side in no time!” he didn’t love having drunk girls in his car, but he supposed june was a good exception. “sounds like a good time though.”

naomi  let  out  a  laugh.  she  felt  kind  of  bad  for  dragging  her  friends  out  if  they  happened  to  be  busy  with  coursework.  it’s  better  to  ask.  and  besides  ,  school  was  important.  everyone  here  was  pretty  much  paying  a  tuition.  no  use  paying  and  not  showing  up  to  class.  “  well  you  never  know  ,  i  thought  you  might  have  to  do  some  coursework  or  something  or  a  group  project  that  you  might  need  to  work  on,  ”  she  shrugged  after  giving  her  response.  “  oh  yes  ,  definitely  !  ”  her  eyes  lit  up  at  the  mention  of  shopping.  “  we  may  have  clothes  for  the  occasion  ,  but  i  think  we  deserve  to  TREAT  ourselves.  ”

“i swear to god, you really don’t. personally, i think it’s just an entire shit show on my end. it’s not, like, a quirky weird, it’s just straight up weird.” they chuckled at themselves, now looking back up at the dark night sky. their brow raised in confusion as they listened to june explain the movie, now shaking their head. “i’ve never seen that movie, but peeing out their fingers? explain this to me; i’m intrigued.” they somewhat were joking, but were a little confused as well. 

he gives a quick nod of his head, “that sounds dope. i wish i could travel more.” he laughs out, “if you could find a way to make it your job, then that’s ace. you’ll live a very interesting life, i’m sure.” the only places ken really had been were in his home state of maine and relatively near eastwood. it’s not that he didn’t want to see the whole world… he just didn’t have the funds to do it. not that he was complaining though. he’d never complain about money: he was grateful for everything he did have. “maybe not law in an of itself…” he begins with a chuckle, sitting up a bit straighter in his seat, “but i am passionate about helping people, and understanding law and the way different policies can be viewed and shaped gives me a better chance at being able to get into politics and actually change something.” his eyes are lit up brightly now– he absolutely loves this. but the light in his eyes quickly dims, “it’s not about the money.” 

june was late, but lennon should have expected this of her. she had no respect for anyone’s time. besides, it was a club, who the fuck was bored at a club? she nodded at the bouncer as they let her in, june was frequent customer to the club so she didn’t have to wait in line. getting a drink from the bar before pushing her way to the section her friend was sitting in, “sup, len.” she shouted over the music, “sorry i’m late! getting ready took a little more time than i expected, hope i didn’t keep you waiting that long. now that i’m here though we have catching up on drinking to do.” june got the attention of the server and ordered a bottle of ciroc for them. “so how have you been len? feel like we haven’t been out together in a while. hook up with anyone cute lately?” she asked with a smile.

ROWAN: EW okay, a full day study sesh DEFINITELY calls for a night out, c'mon!!

brooke let out a giggle at june’s comment, shaking her head as she turned back around to face the mirror. “ kick-boxing owns my body, i told you. you have to start coming with me?” she said, turning around to give the smaller girl a pouty face, hoping she’d commit to coming with her at least once. “ugh, you’re right. white is too innocent, isn’t it? i’ll save the white for a date out with a prince or something.” brooke hummed, throwing the white shirt on the bed and throwing the red shirt on. brooke shook her head at june’s comment while she stared the girl down, making sure every part of her looked perfect. biting the tip of her acrylic nail, brooke finally nodded in approval at june’s fit. “no, i like it. i actually really like it.” she insisted. “ the red lip is sexy, it’s really doing it for me. “

“i mean yeah i guess but it’s not like i would get caught for slapping someone when i could get away with things for just being cute. besides it’s one of those boys who wants me to slap them, but they’d like it and that’s just creepy. i like red on you so i can’t hold to that promise. shut up, don’t taunt me.” the boy giggled as he shook his head at her. “it’s because every time i tell you something it’s one of the wildest stories like the time i told you i jerked a guy off in class on my first day. that was something. ugh, that reminds me i should start mine later before i head to bed. of course, he and i are usually naked around each other, and it’s a dick that i’ve taken for quite some time now, but yes it’s pretty big. guess we both just have a lot to say around each other.
