The elements here are shape and color, triangles in black and white. The common fate is that not one of the shapes in any color are going in the same direction, but they each collide with one other triangle in a different color.

Shattered
by: Milagros Garza
The two groups that are established are the two half circles and the many triangles. The common fate are that the triangles seem to be lost after what looks like that the circles collided, shattering a part of each of themselves. The triangles could with be viewed as still or viewed as them trying to find their way back to be whole again.
My beloved
The title of this piece is in fact appropriate. The worn hands placed on top of each other as in they depend and care for one another. The line is like the length of their journey, and it being curved is like life, its not a straight line but full of ups and downs. The vintage background shows how time has passed but they have still remained together.
Love
By: Audrey Duran
I really like how each element was used a placed. The shape to show the side view of a woman's body, the image of a baby still inside the womb, and the line outlining the body. The closeness of the line is like it is caressing the body showing warmth and safeness. The redness really pulls it all together showing warmth and a mother's love towards their child even when they haven't been born.

What caught my eye for this piece is not just the thick curved line, but the shapes the line created. At fist glance it looks like a mess, chaotic, but I think its actually organized. The layers of paint and designs indicate a level of organization and shows his thought process to a point.

Title: Three Red Paintings (1988)
The common fate here in each picture, is the framed painting that is completely red. Ots not dull because they're not just three red paintings completely shown centered in each picture, but only a section of them. At first glance i thought it was a continuation of one giant framed painting bit its not, its three completely different paintings. I noticed by the detail of the frames, they each have a different design.
Project # 3
Common Theme: Nature
For these three pieces I was inspired by the nature that surrounds me, my mothers garden, the animals that live freely, and the water that gives life. The hands are what I wanted to stand out more so in a colorful world I made the hands grey for the focal point. For the "Plant" piece, I placed two hands creating the flower. The hands are meant to represent God, who is the creator of things, making the flower and plants by his own hands. For the "Water" piece, the waterfall is to represent the neverending flow of water. The hands hold a little puddle of water, representing the life that God holds. The last piece "Creatures", I placed the hand reaching down holding an apple. The apple represents the fruit/food God provides for his creatures or animals that he created.
Project #2
Quote: "I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
I interpreted the quote as God giving someones heart which has been hurt, broken and damaged a new, full of life heart or spirit. In this piece the bottom of the tree trunk represents hollowness. The hand is reaching out of the "hollowness or hurt" towards the fire. The fire is meant for represent the fire of God or his Spirit. The drop of blood is the "flesh" or new spirit being given to to anyone who reaches out for it.
