In Random Order

A personal photo from 1995 that I have not seen in YEARS! Boy, does it bring back memories! Believe it or not, I actually remember the day this was taken, as it was the day my mother flew my sister and I in to CA to spend the summer of 1995 with Burgess - and we were SO excited (of which I have briefly talked about our summer adventures in a few posts back!) As you can see, by this time he was using a cane - a detail that I had completely forgotten about until now. I think as a child, you really don’t notice things like that. At least I didn’t. All I knew was that I was overjoyed to be back in the care of my “Buzzy”. As I write this another memory popped up! Remind me to tell you guys about the time he actually ran after the ice-cream truck, just missed it, and then literally followed it around town. He truly never missed a beat, cane or no cane - even while solely caring for two rambunctious children for nearly four months.

im very grateful for the lessons in photography i was taught in stop motion class because just now they made it possible to photograph the stars with my phone in spite of the camera usually not detecting the light of stars because theyre so dim,,,, enjoy these shiny motherfuckers

(basically the problem with most cameras is that they dont have a very good light sensitivity in the dark, however that doesnt mean they cant detect it at all. the longer the shutter is open, the more light your camera takes in and the more burnt/light your pic will be, so in (literally) dark situations, make the shutter lag longer to get all that light you need! also i said 20 seconds but really you can make it shorter or longer depending on what kinda stuff you want for your stars)
