it’s so magical and beautiful that there are sprawling interconnected cave systems carved deep into the earth by various geological forces and you don’t have to go in them. there are miles and miles of stone passageways in total darkness that require you to exhale all the air out of your lungs to squeeze through parts of them and you don’t have to be there. some of these squeezes are underwater and require cave divers to take off their oxygen tanks and push them through ahead of them and me i am above ground looking at the sky as we speak. there are untold subterranean wonders no human has ever seen and i will not be the one to discover them #grateful #blessed

idk i'm not sure "ai" "art" is going to increase demand for traditional art specifically, i think what it's doing is devaluing certain types of polish. smooth rendering and clean lineart and glossy realism are all suspicious now. what we need to start doing is focusing on complex character-specific facial expressions and body language and switch entirely to narrative-focused lighting styles and weaving abstract layers of symbolic meaning indecipherable to computers and ok listen yes this is a list of things i wanted to do anyway but just because it's self serving doesn't NECESSARILY mean it's wrong,

this is genuinely why my style for ‘photorealistic art’ changed to something more messy and something that deviates from the original photo. i got kinda huffy that that skill set i’d developed became suddenly devalued that i went “no, actually imma show u how i understand lifelike art better than ur ‘puter.” and preceded to mess with lighting for my own nefarious purposes

i feel like we can’t really talk any shit about birds who get tagged by scientists becoming extra desirable to other birds bc like imagine if someone was abducted by aliens and given a mysterious unbreakable bracelet. and then when you ask them about it they get this complicated and distant look in their eyes and admit they don’t know what it is but the aliens put it on them and they can’t take it off no matter how hard they try. and you go oh that must have been terrifying and their expression softens a bit and they say it was, but it made them realize just how precious our brief time on earth really is, and they don’t know when they’ll be taken again but it’ll probably be for good this time so until that day they want to live every moment to the fullest, watch every sunrise, cherish every beautiful thing. then they reach over and gently pluck a fallen leaf out of your hair, and for a second you’re distracted by the dazzling shimmer of the cuff around their arm but then you realize they’ve been looking at you with this soft sort of smile on their face so you lean closer and idk the point is i think it would work on us too probably
