Diego: Okay me again, just googled what happens to spiders when they get lit on fire and it looks kind of cool, how do you feel about setting me alight? 🔥🔥🔥

Jax: I don't have fire manipulation, smart ass. Just because my father is the Human Torch, doesn't mean I'm a fire manipulator. I'm a smoke manipulator. Trust me, it wouldn't look as cool. It would just look like I was choking you with the force.

Diego: Because hypothetically do you think someone born with spider like reflex's could dodge a speeding car? 😏

Jax: I own a car.

Cat hummed to herself before being turned around by her wrist. “Oh and kinky too?”she spoke clearly unbothered. “Let go of me. I don’t have your stupid watch”

“Try again.” He told her, leaning a little closer to her and tightening his grip a little on her. “You have it, I saw you. You can’t talk yourself out of this. Just save yourself the trouble, darlin’ and give it back. I’ll let you go.” 

“Oh lighten up….ha…get it Lighten up? Cause your dad’s a torch…the human torch?” Mike said wagging his eyebrows and laughing. Mike was a well known to be well…..a dick. But he was one of the most loyal friends anyone could ask for.

“Why do I even hang out with you?” Jax scoffed to the other. Shaking his head. “You’re not actually all that funny, Mike.” He told the other with a sigh. “Besides, he’s not my dad. Dude. He’s my father. It’s different. Less personal. We’ve never even met, I don’t think he knows I exist.” 

“Like your mom” Mike smirked, flipping himself upright. He braced himself for the hit he knew he was coming.

“Seriously, man?” Jax gave Mike a pointed look. He didn’t mind killing the guy again, he’d just come back anyway. “That was distasteful even for you.” He should have just smacked him right in the face for that comment, instead he just tightened his fists.

Catrina stood quietly, barely making a sound as she walked by the boy. “Better luck next time handsome” she whispered. The raven-haired girl blew a kiss before she sashayed out the room and towards her next class. 

“Hold it, sticky-fingers.” He hissed to her, after he left the classroom. Swiftly following after her and reaching out to grab her by the wrist. “I know you took it. I saw you. That’s all I have left from my past, and I don’t choking it out of you.” 

Shit..did I die….again?

“Yeah. How did the smoke taste, asshole.” 

Catarina smiled as she listened to the teacher tell the other student that if they couldn’t prove she had taken their things that they couldn’t hold her. A mischievous smirk placed across her lips. “Am I free to go now?’

“Fine.” Jax hissed to the no-good authority, before turning to look at the girl he was sure took from him. Jackson Storm didn’t have a lot. He was born on the wrong side of the tracks, and he knew she took his watch. “We don’t need to settle this. I probably just... misplaced it.” He’d settle this outside. She’d pay for it.

“Don’t be like that Jaxy. Tiny child needs a father”

“I didn’t grow up with a father and I lived. This snot nosed fucker will be fine.”
