Autistic women face the most severe risk, being up to 13x more likely to die by suicide than neurotypical women.

Autistic people without intellectual disabilities have significantly higher rates of death by suicide compared to those with intellectual disabilities.

Children and adults with exceptional cognitive ability (high IQ) or co-occurring ADHD are also at a notably elevated risk.
