God yeah same, I feel it was just a super handwavy excuse to add some more dark shit into the show and ostracise Geralt from the other Witchers. I feel like it was meant to be this sad representation of how not even their home was safe and how they lost people who were close to them, but it honestly felt super cheap and handwavey to me. It’s like we were told “this is someone close to geralt isn’t it awful how he had to kill him” but the only thing they ever bothered showing was that he was weird and unstable. Idk I feel like I’d actually have been a lot happier with it if the lead up was longer to be honest, if they actually SHOWED Eskel being a brother and a friend, showed the decline into the infection, rather than just tell us later “he knew something was wrong and wanted help”, the death would have been sadder yes, but it would have actually felt meaningful, he at least deserved to have a meaningful death you know.

Announcing Geralt Fluff Week!

The original post sadly didn’t make it into the tags, that’s why we are posting again. So everyone who wants to participate has the chance to do so.

This will be a multi-ship event to give Geralt all the love he clearly needs.
