Robert was treating the horse, it was his favorite part of the work day, when someone stepped in. “We’re done with riding lessons today.” He apologized without looking up.
Rob? Maybe we could just make out some more then.
Can stress cause heart attacks? I feel like I can't even breathe.
I don’t even know you. Why did you want to kiss me?
Cos I felt like kissing someone.
*pulls back* What the fuck?
Was worth a shot.

Do you kiss random strangers often?
No. Do you?
God, the stink of dog is too strong for me to even kind of like this. What a shame.
Damn. My first lesbionic experience and it wasn't even likeable.
Jasmine Verma ► Werewolf ► 17 ► Naomi Scott
I’m wasted, losing time. I’m a foolish, fragile spine. I want all that is not mine, I want him but we’re not right.
Born and raised in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, but recently left town after her parents kicked her out of the house.
Has been a werewolf for a few months.
Is apart of the Starkov pack.
Jasmine’s parents were known throughout her group of friends as without a doubt the most strict; she wasn’t allowed to sleep over other people’s houses, there were only a number of places she could go without a parental figure, and don’t even get her started on the amount of chores she had. But if there was one thing her parents weren’t bad with, it was grades… and that probably had to do with her older brother Darren. For the longest time, it was like Darren was the only child in the family. He was the golden child who could do no wrong - at least from where Jasmine stood. It got to the point where for awhile, Jasmine felt like she was invisible in the family. She didn’t mind, seeing as when her parent’s attention was on her, it was only to scold her, but it didn’t exactly leave her with a warm fuzzy feeling towards them. Jasmine never resented Darren for the attention they showed him; instead Jasmine used that time out of the spotlight to grow as a girl. She was generally a popular girl in school, always having a wide variety of friends. It was when she first got into high school that she started to bend the rules placed on her a bit. She’d cut class, sneak out of the house, kiss (lots of) boys her parents wouldn’t have been alright with (they told her she was only allowed to marry an Indian man). Once and awhile she’d get caught and reprimanded, but for the most part Jasmine was really good at getting around the rules.
It was when the teenager started Junior year of high school when everything went downhill. Nobody said it aloud, but there was a change going on within Jasmine’s older brother, and even she could notice it. The goodie-two shoes he had once been was fading away, especially after he got caught with some random girl in his room that summer. He became less obedient and more hostile, falling into a slum that made Jas depressed just watching him. It was more than that, though - without Darren to mold into their perfect child, it was as if their parents had seen their younger daughter for the first time. Suddenly they were bombarding her with college information, signing up for every SAT and ACT class out there, making her stay home all weekend just to study for her classes. She was smart like her brother, but she wasn’t as smart - and she was nowhere near as dedicated. Being locked up in the house was torture to her, but at least she had her brother who felt just as tortured along with her. They had never been particularly close, but that was the year they really become best friends.
But still, Jasmine wanted more out of the life her parents were forcing her into. She didn’t want to be a reserved and education Indian woman, she wanted to be Jasmine. She could be anything she wanted to be, really, but she wanted to decide her fate. Fate had other plans, however - one of the nights Jasmine had snuck out of the house wound up being a full moon, and when walking back through the woods to get back home, she was attacked by an animal. It was a wolf, or a rabid dog, something big and something fierce. And with other werewolves who have been bitten, the side affects didn’t come until nearly a month later… unfortunately right in front of her mother. Thankfully Jasmine was able to leave the house and disappear into the woods for the night, but the next morning as brutal. When she had come home her mother was waiting for her, and if it hadn’t been for Darren, the seventeen year old fully believes her mother would’ve killed her. Obviously she was kicked out of the house, but her angel of a brother told her he wasn’t going anywhere without her. Jasmine owes everything to her brother, though she’s always reluctant to admit it. They had been on their own for a few months, barely getting by (especially on the full moon) before Jasmine felt the pull of the comet, dragging them towards Maddox. Darren didn’t believe her, but Jasmine was insistent that something good was going to come from the small town… she just didn’t know what yet.
All Jasmine ever wanted in life was to be treated as a normal human being. With strict parents and a book of rules holding her back, most of the brunette’s anger wound up being very pent up, passive aggressive in the most aggressive form. There was always a bit of rebellion stirring inside of her, more than the average teenager. But the past few months of living as a completely different species, a werewolf (whatever that meant - Jasmine still wasn’t 100% sure), seemed to make all Jasmine’s troubles in the past seem microscopic. Now all of her energy and frustration goes to figuring out what she may be, or how to fix it. With her parents off her tail, Jasmine can practically taste the freedom… but lately Darren’s been so overprotective it’s almost like having Mom and Dad back. She’s restless about being locked up and not able to socialize with many people (Darren doesn’t like her talking to strangers), especially considering how many great friends she had back in the day. All she wants is for her brother to lay off a bit and for the whole wolf thing to just stop… is that too much to ask for?
Post settling into Maddox life, Jasmine eventually, for better or worse, came to accept that there was no cure or solution to being a werewolf. Furthermore, she found herself earning a spot in a local pack, a collection of new friends, and a life beyond being a runaway with a homicidal mother. For awhile, her situation seemed a whole lot brighter—as if despite her recent troubles, she’d be okay in the end. In large part, this was due to her then boyfriend, Dakota. It was a rocky beginning, and had rocky patches all throughout, but Jas was in love. She’d never been someone in the habit of deluding herself and was well aware that most teenage relationships don’t stand the test of time—but regardless, Dakota’s sudden and unwarned leaving of Maddox hit Jasmine harder than she’d like to admit. Since their abrupt breakup, something in the girl has changed. She can’t will herself to socialise anymore, and barely makes time for those, even, who are closest to her. In the bluntest of terms, Jas feels more and more as if she can’t put her faith in people because, sooner or later, they always find a way to let her down. As of late, she’s been just making rent for the small, dingy apartment her brother used to pay for and earning cash doing odd jobs wherever possible. And, ultimately, spending most of her free time alone.
Relationships:
Travels with her older brother Darren Verma, who she is very close with. He’s always been there for her, especially after the wolf thing. He is the only family she has left, and he will forever be grateful for him - even if he’s a little overprotective. Jasmine knows he sacrificed a lot for her, and she wishes she could repay him.
Met Percy Fayette, another new person, who claims to be a werewolf as well. Jasmine can tell he’s not lying about that, but she’s still skeptical to trust him. She hopes he means well, and she longs to talk to someone who understands about her problems, but he is a stranger after all. Plus Darren doesn’t seem to trust him.
Has made friends with Lulu Connolly in town, a sweet and normal girl. Jasmine missed having a girl friend to talk to, though she doesn’t plan on bringing up much of her past with her.
Is hoping to find a girl to occupy Darren’s time… and so far Jasmine is trying to choose between Katherine Claire or Miranda DiAngelo.
Has seen Colin Thomas around town and gets a freaky vibe from him - not to mention, thanks to her wolf nose, he smells awful.
Helen Starkov, her alpha, was someone that Jasmine was immediately grateful to. Guidance, welcome, friendship and a place to belong were just four of the many things that Helen provided for her. However there’s been a drift lately between Jasmine and her pack.

What are you doing?
What are you doing?
Well it wasn’t terrible like my first fifth grade kiss.
Agreed. Is this a typical habit of yours?
Is anyone's first kiss short of terrible?
Well, no. Not as of late. Which is probably why I resorted to kissing a stranger. But, hey, seemed to work out well enough--so maybe it might be from now on.

Well, that was literally a pleasure to meet you, Jasmine. I’m Robert, but call me Rob, Robert’s my father.
Really? I'm a bit rusty on the kissing front, so, it's appreciated.
Nice to meet you too, Rob. Here's to many make outs in the future. Y'know, not necessarily with me, but in general. Right.
Yeah, that was nice, but who’re you?
A slightly inebriated, bordering social recluse who felt like mackin'.
But, uh, Jasmine. That's my name.
I'm just gonna-—
I got two tickets to a early premiere of the Maze Runner —- first come, first serve?
I'm in.
It’s what i like to call a work in progress, but I’m getting there. Anything to make sure I don’t get punched, right? Lucky you, let me let you in on a secret, getting out of the house is hard with a protective brother that hardly speaks to you. But hey, he’s getting married and I’m getting g out of the house, it’s a win-win.
Pizza is like, the one friend there for you that never leaves nor judges. I feel ya’.
How'd you know I was going to punch you? --Kidding, kidding. I'll at least give you a heads up before I throw any swings. Protective brother, huh? I know that struggle, though mine is't around right now. Well, congrats to him. Let's hope it lasts. ...Getting out of the house? You don't do that often?

I’ll be sure to keep you updated when I can, then.
Only on Saturday nights when no one is here. ‘Cause then you make friends with the employees and it’s like, a pizza party galore, with extra toppings for free. Don’t blame ya’. Pizza is like, heaven in an oven.
See, now, you're speaking my language. Though as a regular customer, regular being at least four times a week, I get pretty sweet perks already.
Right? Pizza doesn't say or do shitty things. Pizza is just there for you. Pizza is love, pizza is life.
Never really tried it with any others, so don’t know what to tell ya’.
No, no, yeah I got the clue, Jasmine. Not a complete idiot, just a bumbling one. Sorry, bubble rule put it total motion starting now.
Great. Thanks. Much appreciated. Let me know if it works in the future.
So, James. Come here often? I do. Because I really freaking love pizza.
