There is not! I think it’s just a common witch thing, not even really required, but I think commonly a lot of gems would be hung off of it or herbs to dry, usually for whatever benefit came with said gem or herb! IE a gem that has a property of protection or an herb that has a property of calming. I think the gems that hang off the tip of the hat are just about always there though, as a representation of the magic they’re trying to channel though nature :3

The rest of their outfit has nothing to do with the hat lol. It’s just generic clothing, besides the cape, of which is a cultural thing! It was kinda inspired by the kitenge, in world the idea is that, in Midnafi (where half Momochi’s family is from) you get a big fabric square with a different flower depending on what clan you’re part of, and then you can wear it however. Momochi chooses to wear theirs like a cape!
