Just got back from Terminus where A&P performed last night and what an amazing performance. I have posted Author & Punisher before but I thought this show was especially cool because it was a gallery/performance like what I had hoped to set up at some point in the future. 

I just seen these guys at the Terminus Ignition festival, if you missed it you are shit out of luck. Second show ever and one of the best I have ever seen. When art and music collide, check them out you wont regret it.

Well this is it, my final drawing series and probably the last thing will post for a while, sorry about the picture quality. Help me critique this thing, is it finished? What else can it use (don't say talent because I already know that!) I've battled with this for much longer than I had anticipated so let's put it to rest, just say it's done please.

Here are some crawling containers, they have brains in the lid! (I know what your thinking "nerd") Unfortunately only half survived, and I mangled a kiln shelf too but please tell me they don't resemble testicles. I have heard several people say they do and I didn't intend or even see it till they mentioned it. They don't right, everyone else says they are cute, but I have a hard time believing something resembling a nut sack could be "cute".

Here are some more happy characters, so self reflective, they are my altered portraits project for sculpture. I think I will call it "Altered States", not very original but my pieces titles frequently change. I know they are not pretty but there has to be some merit in doing disgusting so well, isn't there?

Here are my pieces from the soda firing done with Gail Nichols, they are incredible, I meant hey aren't pretty, after all they are all me, but they are much nicer than I could have imagined. No glaze, a splatter of slip and what Gail uses best, soda, clay and fire. Thank you so much Gail for everything.

The paper bronze buildings are finished except one needs to be attached to its wooden base. My favourite is the broken down one that still seems to hang on by a strand. Some are straight patina while others are luminesce and others are a combination of both. They all cast quite nicely, I got to weld them to their bases and do a lot of chasing. Pretty cool… I love bronze

I got these sometime last week after taking an introduction to 3D printing. I love the Macaw skull, it's way bigger than I thought it would be. I want to pull a mold off the skull but I just can't bring myself to cover it in crap! I suppose I could always print another one, I also have a STL for a crocodile skull that had a bone disease, I think I'm gonna have to print that off too. The other thing is an RDC brain box or gear brain box or something...it's pretty damn cool too. I printed a charcoal drawing last week but haven't had the time to investigate the fruits of the labour. If it's a success you will hear about it no doubt, if not, draw your own conclusion.

Here is a small preview of what I will be displaying at the gallery on Monday. This one won't be on display, you will have to come and see the ones I felt were the best images. You need your own 3D glasses to make this one work but there will be glasses at the opening on the 17th. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to make your own glasses for right now, if you have a pair of red and blue markers. Or if your a nerd like me, you probably have like four pairs.

I haven't posted much for a while so here is what's new... in ceramics.

You've probably seen these but they are in their finished state; I figured I would document them one last time, before I cover them in plaster and destroy them. Hope they work...

Here are some of the ceramic pieces I have been working on, the monster clay portraits I posted will also eventually become ceramic as well. A bit cheaper of a medium as a-posed bronze. They will look much better glazed and also will probably finally be selling work in the next art sale, yay.

I thought you should see this video, even if you don't like the music, which you should, but the artist who doing the drawings is using sand, I think. Enjoy
