"And if I don't?" She questioned, placing the hat on her head.

“Fine you can wear it for now, but I want it back later.” Janus said, running his hands through his messy locks.

"I've came to check on you! How are you, love?"

The king took Janus' hand and kissed his knuckles. "I'm doing alright as well."

“T-that’s g-good.” Janus says as the human side of his face lights up in a bright scarlet from his king’s actions.

"Your blush complements your scales~" Romulus commented lovingly, brushing over the scales on his cheek with his thumb.

Janus is frozen in place as his blush gets deeper and starts to travel down his neck and ears. “R-Romulus!”

"Is something wrong, my dear?"

“W-why do you have to tease me like that? It’s embarrassing.” Janus says as he looks down at his shoes. The blush as clear as ever.

The king smiled softly as he tilted Janus' chin up to face him. "Cause I know how much you love it~"

Janus leans in, connecting their lips in a soft but sweet kiss. He then realized exactly what he’d done and backed up. “I’m so sorry! I don’t know what came over me!” fear and panic in his eyes as he waits to see his king’s reaction.

Romulus was shocked for just a second before he pulled Janus back into a kiss by the chain on his capelet. "You have nothing to be sorry for, sunflower. That was actually very brave of you." He said gently after he pulled away.

Janus stands there stunned for about a second before replying. “I- I thought you were going to punish me.”

Romulus eyebrows raised in surprise. "Why would I punish you for that?"

“You’ve tickled me before for doing that...” Janus trails off, the blush that once was gone starting to appear again.

The king pulled Janus into a hug. "Well.. That's because I was more... caught off guard. I'm the one who usually makes the first moves."

Janus hugs Romulus back, his mouth curving into a rather embarrassed smile “Yeah, I’ll admit sometimes I’ll do that to catch you off guard. This was not one of those times however.”

Romulus carded his fingers through Janus' hair. "I'll love it either way." He pressed a soft kiss to his forehead.

Janus’ grin turned mischievous as he looked up at Romulus. He quickly pushed Romulus up against the wall behind him, his arms angled up as he put them on either side of his lover’s head, looking deep into Romulus’ eyes. Not saying a word as his eyes gave a mischievous glint, almost as if to challenge Romulus’ authority

Romulus was taken by surprise, but he wasn't gonna show that. So he cockly smirked back at Janus, as if to challenge his challenge. "Feeling brave now are we?~"

“Maybe I am. What are you gonna do about it?” Janus said, his expression of total victory.

"You're cute when you act all tough~" Romulus cooed at him. "I bet I could change that with a few wiggling fingers~"

Janus’ cocky look falters for a moment, before coming back “Oh please Romulus you wouldn’t dare.” Just for a safe measure Janus moves his hands down to Romulus’ wrists.

The king chuckled at him, his smirk remaining persistent. "But I would, my sweet and sugary snek~"

“Oh please, I doubt you even could.” Janus said, knowing full well what he was getting into.

"You know what you're getting into when you challenge me." He said, grabbing hold of Janus' arms and turning them around so their roles were reversed. "Now you'll have to face the consequences~" He purred next to his ear before squeezing his hips.

Janus holds in a squeak as he says “O-oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?”

"What I do best. Tickle you until you can't even remember your name~"

Janus blushes hard from that statement. “I-I’d like to s-see you try.” attempting to still have a sense of dignity left.

Romulus hovered his wiggling fingers over Janus' sides. "You know, I just had another thought. What if I don't tickle you, hmm?~ Since you've been acting up and aren't being a good lee~"

“N-no wait, I’m sorry! I’ll be a good little lee just please tickle me!” Janus pleads, his eyes practically begging.

The King's teasy resolve cracked a little. He's only ever really soft around Janus, and maybe Picani. "Of course I would, darling. You know I don't mean that." He lightly scribbled up and down Janus' sides. "You're too cute not to tickle~"

Janus giggled and squirmed und Romulus’ grip. “R-Romulus!” Janus called out between giggles.

Romulus hummed in acknowledgement, starting to nuzzle the scaled side if Janus' neck while also peppering tickly kisses.

Janus squeaks in surprise. “Romulus! You know my scales are sensitive.”

"I do know. I also know they're soft and smooth, and when you blush turn a lovely shade of yellow~"

Janus blushed harder “Must you be such a tease?” He scoffed playfully, already knowing Romulus’ answer.

"Why of course! You make it easy and you love every second of it~" he said before blowing a raspberry on the scales.

Janus squeaked and jumped a bit from the surprising action. He tilted his head to the side allowing Romulus more access to the scaled half of his neck.

"Daww! Tickle tickle tickle~ You're such an adorable cutie pie! Yes you are!~" Romulus cooed, skittering across his tummy.

Janus tries to keep in his giggles but fails miserably as his knees start to give out from under him.

Romulus took Janus to the floor and sat on his hips, continuing to tickle his tummy. "You have the sweetest giggles~"

Janus wheezed out between giggles “Sssssttaaaahhhhpppp” as he squirmed in Romulus’ grip.
