Upon the discovery that, while rolling the GR8EST DVD, Nishi was apparently flashing a cap coming from a strip club all the way back to Hawaii, here some things I wish for this fandom to reflect upon and mention in everyone’s prayers.

The fact that for a brief moment I thought strip clubs gave souvenirs like people used to do with gift bags at birthday parties when I was a kid.

The fact that I discovered that this crap was no souvenir but actually a good you can buy by signing up to the strip club webstore, thing that Nishi apparently did.

The fact that Nishi is way ahead of each and every one of us and, instead of purchasing his own crap from ebay, amazon or your local dollar store, he apparently buys the essentials at strip clubs. I have no idea if they sell exclusively caps or have, like, a rotation system so that every bitch comes with a different piece of the clothing everytime, but this marketing strategy is already a gold mine, I’m telling ya.

The fact that J&A paid him for a whole trip to Hawaii to roll Another Sky but he blew up the entire budget by hanging out with random bitches at strip clubs and buying a whole stock of caps.

I mean, lesbians are also a thing. According to polls the main watchers when it comes to porn movies are not straight men, not gay men but lesbians. It’s not the sex of the costumer that really matters, but the orientation. Porn doesn’t sell because men are watching it, porn does sell because there’s an audience, that happens to have a penis or a vagina, that demands for it.

strippers look and dance the way men decided is a sexy way to look and dance. Put Karen in a strip club or in a lesbian bar/club/whatever and rest assured that no matter the genitalia of the person that is watching she will have to shake those tits to pay the bills. It’s not men that decide what is sexy and what is not, it’s biology that structures us in a way that we’ll always find a booty far more appealing then, let’s say, a ear. Unless we get on the kinky side, but that’s not the topic here.

How many sex clubs are there where the strippers are men and the customers are women who decide which man is fuckable enough to spend money on?

Again, gays are also a thing. You want to see a man being objectify as much as our Karen is? Go to a gay club. Watch an episode of RuPaul Drag Race for the matter. You’d be amazed by how much fifteen male models in boxer can be objectified. You want to get on the female gaze side, as much as I hate to use the term? Any mainstream actor, any movie that happens to be directed towards a female audience stars a male that is way beyond the standard of your avarage Joe. These actors have to pull enormous stunts in order to gain the right body to hit the target. And this in order to be fuckable enough to the eyes of said female audience.

Have we been socialised to feel entitled to male bodies, and to expect sex if we spend money on men?

We should not but the sad reality is that we’re. Take the idols world for example. How many idols you know that actually have any kind of freedom in their personal life? How many of them are free to date other people, hook up with other people, sharing personal opinions and so on without being restricted by the agency itself? ‘we do get it, it’s your life. but consider this. you’re also selling an illusion to these girls. they think they can have you. they do own you in their minds. so do not date anyone. don’t build a family even if you’re past 34. let the dream carry on’. And I can assure you that among those dream there’s also an urge for sex. Because they do buy their idols merch they do feel entitled to own the idol itself. The girl that has been stalking Ohkura for a year. The one that attempted suicide the moment Nino enganged. I’m not familiar with K-pop but I’ve read things in the past that made me realize that the situation in Korea in even worst. These kind of people feel entitled to own their idols just because they buy their merch. In their minds they buy the person along with the crappy double version CD. Sex is just a factor they also purchase but it’s not the only thing.

Different movies, different genres, but with one thing in common: a female audience in mind. Let’s find the similarities.

Isn’t this also objectification? How are any of these men different from our Karen that moves her ways up and down on a pole so to “look and dance the way men decided is a sexy way to look and dance”?

And how is our Karen different from any of our idols, whose personal life met a forced stop the moment they debutted? Who are stalked, terrified, abused but not taken seriously because ‘hey, it’s just a girl, stop being a pussy and start being grateful for having an audience instead’?

When Takuya Kimura married pop idol Kuda Shizuka, who was already pregnant with his child. KimuTaku paved the way for later shotgun weddings in Johnny’s when he shocked the country and quite possibly the world with this marriage, as he was a top idol in Japan at the time. One fan even reportedly committed suicide after hearing the news. [X]

but the best part Luckily, KimuTaku’s celebrity and earning power was just too great for him to be punished severely by Johnny’s, and he went on to have a successful marriage, with two children born to this day.

Dude was too famous to be punished severely by J&A for having decided to start a family of his own. Isn’t life great? SURE. IT. IS.

But good thing these are not facts and that’s just my post reeking of feminism, I’d feel sorry for them poor fuckers otherwise.

Also, what do you mean by saying that our Karen doesn’t have the same options as Ohkura does? We’re not talking about a sex worker that has been kidnapped as a child and dragged by force into the business. No one is holding her hostage, no one made sure to get a hold of her passport so she can’t flee the country. Karen does work a part-time job that allows her to pay for college and substains herself. A part-time job she chose herself, while pondering the many options she had and probably realizing it was the best option given her possibilities at the moment. Pretty much like being a bartender or a baby-sitter, no stripper is a stripper for life; most of them choose the job for the easy cash they can earn while working on getting the tools needed to have access to a better life. Pretty much like Ohkura, the moment she had enough and she’s fed up with being a tool of objectification she’s free to leave and find herself an alternative option.
