I love the painted textures in Brazilian illustrator Willian Santigo’s work.

From miniature people in comic scenarios to an illustration for the New York Times the Portuguese illustrator Marta Monteiro has a diverse illustrative style. Nice work.

Whilst at the Etsy christmas market in Leeds last weekend I came across the talented illustrator Kristyna Baczynski stall. It was hard to choose my favourite pieces. She has a great ability to create narrative zines. Impressive stuff.

“Animation, 3 minutes 16 seconds For each frame of the animation, Karrie Fransman drew a small box in the centre of the screen, then zoomed into this box so it filled the whole frame. She then drew the next frame within the space in the centre of the image. Putting all of these frames together created an animation that draws the viewer in – and the end links back to the beginning to create an infinite loop. This highlights the devastating and frustrating reality for refugees who get deported.” - quote Guardian
