Big fan of the idea that Nate goes from being painfully average, to a little freak of a guy (/pos) as he gets more and more involved in the Yo-Kai world.
Like he starts knowing things he shouldn’t - he has eyes everywhere - it feels like there’s almost a knew weight to his gaze. He has a habit of almost zoning out, looking at something that no one else can see.
Everybody seems to know about him. If you have a problem, chances are he can solve it, even if you don’t quite know how he was involved at all.
Nobody knows what he does in his free time, he just kinda vanishes. If you do manage to catch him for a hangout, chances are that *something* strange is gonna happen, but you can never really tell what it had to do with him. If you’re around him for too long, your vision might begin to blur ever so slightly, like there is something there distorting it.
If you listen closely, in moments of almost silence, you can hear him speaking to himself under his breath. The conversation doesn’t sound one-sided.
Nate is officially the local cryptid, and everyone’s just kinda fine with that.
