Bohol, Beaches!
Bohol consists of a handful of beaches surrounding Panglao Island. Each one has their own characteristics and vibe. So we selected few of the most popular beaches and spend a little time in each of them.
National Museum
We were supposed to go to Intramuros, but for some reasons, we decided to go to National Museum instead.
Bohol Travel, Tourist Spots and Tips for the First Time Goers (Part I)
We were lucky to catch a plane ride to Bohol at 6 am. Luckily, there were no flight delays so we arrived at Tagbilaran at 7 am. It’s a little bit early though. Since this is our first time in Bohol, it’s a must have to roam around the countryside to visit the “Tourist Spots”
Nature, Discipline and Goodness
Before anything else, I admit that I am not a politically inclined person. I may not see the whole picture nor am I knowledgable about these things, but this is from a perspective of a dentist who is more inclined to science and the oral cavity than history, politics or current events.

Pinto Art Museum: A Hidden Gem in Antipolo
It was not my first time here in Pinto Art Museum. I visited this place last february when we had our Antipolo Roadtrip. But the museum was so huge and beaitiful that I didn’t hesitate to go back. This is a perfect place for geek couples, friends and family where you can discuss artworks, rest, and eat. Everything is here. I suggest you come at 9 am and watch the sunset at 6 pm.
Eating Dahon at The Clean Plate: A Food Diary
We were supposed to eat at Silantro but the line was so long we were like 28th or something on the waiting list so we just walked around looking for any place which has less crowd. We found this newly opened restaurant at UP town center that has dainty walls and instagram worthy tables. Aaand, no crowd.
And so we found ourselves looking at the menu of all vegan dishes at The Clean Plate.
Staycation at Acacia Hotel
You need a quick fix from your busy lifestyle? You don’t have to spend lots of money and time going to the beach or other provinces when you have so many beautiful hotels in Manila.
This is the Acacia Hotel in Ayala Alabang. I found their promo in the internet which includes an overnight stay for two, a complimentary halo-halo and buffet breakfast for about 4,000 pesos.
Morning stroll in the most beautiful beach in the World: A Travel Photodiary (Nacpan, Palawan)
Chasing the sun in Nacpan: A photo diary
After our Tour in El Nido, we hopped right in a Tricycle and made our way to Nacpan. It was a one hour rocky ride going to Nacpan but it was WORTH IT.

THE LAGOONS: An El Nido Photodiary
Part of our tour includes El Nido's Finest Lagoons: Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, and Secret Lagoon.
EL NIDO, Palawan - The Town: A Travel Photo Diary
My friend, Jenny, is back from Dubai, so we decided to book a plane to Palawan for 3 days. After purchasing the ticket, I realized that spending 3 days is not the greatest idea because it will take 5-6 hours from Puerto Prinsesa to El Nido via van. (I also learned on the day of our flight that there is a direct plane to El nido via Sky Jet Airways, I'm not yet sure about the price but I'm guessing it's a little bit pricey).
So our first day was spent travelling to El Nido. Our flight was delayed by an hour. We were greeted by someone in the airport and he brought us to our van which is a little bit tacky. I later learned that what we rode was a commuter van. We planned on going to Marimegmeg beach which is a 15 mins tricycle ride from the town to catch the sunset but the van made so many stop overs that it took us 7 hours going to the town.
First Quarter Thoughts
It's true that time flies by so fast when you grow old. When I was about 15 years younger, I can't wait till I get older by a year because then I thought I'd be having more freedom. Right now, all I do is work, work, work, buy things I need, work, work, sleep, work, work, read, travel, work, work, work, and then hey.. a year passed by already.
NOWNESS. I don't know if it's an actual word, but I found it from Abbey Sy's painting. It's just that I'm always worried about the future or thinking about the past (but I'm more of always worrying about the future), that I need a lot of practice on what Marc called "Mindfulness". To pay attention to what is happening in the present moment.
I've been in a whirlwind of emotions for the past few months and I've been through my darkest days. I tried to pick myself up and had a retreat. I tried reading books. I talked to God like I never talked to him before. I travelled alone. Had a staycation by myself. Just to reflect on some things.
Now that those "whirlwind" emotions are over and done, I'm back to my regular everyday life but I'm afraid that one day I'll be again too tired and too angry about life and that I'll forget about what I've reflected and then I'll again go back to that ugly state of mind.
Soo.. here are my thoughts and random rambling for the first quarter of 2016.
As a part of my holyweek retreat (slash breather), me and Pam spent one day in Manila Hotel. It was so much fun I just had to document it :))
A Day in Manila Hotel: a photo diary
I was never excited or Holy Week until after college. Where I finally realize the true meaning of the word: RETREAT.
I was planning on having a solo getaway but then.. Pam found a staycation online! Looks like all hotels are lowering their rates this holy week knowing everyone need some relaxing and all the routes going outside of Manila are jam packed.
Downside of course : the place is full!!! But it didn't stop us from having fun of course :)

The Tap Room: A Photo Diary
On the eve of Black Saturday, we decided to spend our night in one of Manila Hotel's amenities: the Tap Room.
It was my first time holding a... cat. =^-^=
