goofygonzalez1: This weekend a bigger dream is fulfilled than I had been playing in my head since I was 15 years old. I grew up with the songs of the Arctic Monkeys, in my good and bad moments they accompanied me with their lyrics, their melodies and their music.
So many disappointments, heartbreaks, and bad drinks over listening to them, and they became my favorite band of all time.
I dreamed of being able to thank Alex for his music and for his art, and maybe have a picture.
I once told @feloguevara: “Can you imagine going out with Alex one night?” Dreaming does not cost anything .. I do not know what happened … I ended up going out for a night with the Arctic Monkeys with Alex Turner next to me telling me: “WITH HOW WELL DRESSED YOU ARE, WHERE IS YOUR BAG???”
I could not explain the next hour and a half, talking to him as if I knew him ALL my life, Alex laughing at my jokes exaggeratedly, inviting me to his cigarettes, and taking half the beer he had in his hand. Teaching him words in Spanish, talking at length about what is happening in current music … and the next thing was total madness … In the men’s room, washing our hands in the sink, singing ‘R U Mine’ TOGETHER: Alex telling me “YOU’RE A VOCALIST??? YOU SING VERY WELL … YOU SHOULD HAVE A BAND ……” MY FRIENDS DO NOT LET ME LIE, GOD DOES NOT LET ME LIE. THOSE WHO HAVE FOLLOWED ME FOR A LONG TIME KNOW HOW MUCH I ADMIRE HIM, AND HE, BEING A LEGEND OF THE ROCK …… MADE ME FEEL MORE SPECIAL THAN ANYONE WHO KNOWS HAS MADE ME FEEL … WITHOUT KNOWING ME, HE JUST CAPTURED MY ESSENCE … HE COULD SEE IN ME SOMETHING THAT MAYBE I GAVE UP ON OR NORMALIZED … AND EVERYTHING THAT I’VE ACHIEVED BY THIS TIME GAVE ME THE POSSIBILITY OF FULFILLING THIS DREAM. I THANKED HIM FOR HIS MUSIC, AND HE ANSWERED ME WITH A HUG SAYING THAT SOMEDAY WE’LL MAKE A SONG TOGETHER, WE TALKED ABOUT MESSI, MARADONA, THINGS I DON’T EVEN REMEMBER AHAHA … I PARTIED WITH ALEX TURNER, I PARTIED WITH THE MONKEYS. I FULFILLED ANOTHER DREAM.
WHAT ELSE CAN I ASK ???? NEVER STOP DREAMING …. NOT ONLY CAN YOU MAKE IT REALITY …… BUT MORE THAN YOU EXPECTED ….
