{Words by AnaΓ―s Nin, from The Diary Of Anais Nin, Vol. 4 (1944-1947) / Cynthia Cruz from diagnosis,The glimmering room}
When you're going where the wind takes you, and it takes you here π
Not book smart or street smart but a secret third thing.
supid
supid.
I finally resigned from work just last month, but I've already been actively looking for a new job and had been sending applications to many companies since February. At one point, I even asked for a sick leave just so I could show up to an interview. Only to be declined.
I was desperate to leave and hopeful that I could easily land on another company. Yet it's July now, and everyday I try to overcome the panic and fear of not doing anything for a living.
It's honestly mixed feelings. Come to think of it, I'm somehow just enjoying this time or season of rest. Until certain situations, or even the people around me - start to treat me differently. That's when pressure starts to boil. In an average, I search and apply for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 jobs on the daily.
The constant check on my emails for a possible reply, status update, follow-up, and more heavily - the rejections; are the things that humble me right now. I think I've gotten so used to it, that I no longer have big expectations for something favorable to happen.
But I will continue to persevere, and wait. This will change. I'm holding on.
Paambon naman diyan ng job dust!
the art of not being ready and doing it anyways will take you so far

also I don't think parents "these days" are uniquely terrible, I just think neglect is showing up in new ways as technology progresses. today's ipad kid would've been wandering around in a ditch alone all day and night before. parents not wanting to have to deal with children is not a new phenomenon.

the issue with growing up in the 2000s and 2010s was like there was this really big push toward "accepting your weirdness" overall but they meant like idk wearing mismatched socks or something not being tangibly beyond the norm in any way shape or form
