â˘:Forehead or cheek kisses
James pushed the door to family library opened, scanning the room. Grinning triumphantly at finally finding his quarry, James strided over to Sirius, only stopping short upon seeing the look on Siriusâ face. It was stormy, eyes concealing pain and grief under anger.
âPadfoot,â James said slowly, deeply concerned for his friend. What did his family do this time? Werenât they done with them, after all Sirius was never going back right.
Sirius remained silent, continuing to glare at the window. James sighed. It was going to be hard than he thought to get Sirius talking.
âPadfoot,â James began again, âSirius, are you alright? And donât you dare say youâre not because I know youâre arenâtâ James added quickly before Sirius could say deny anything.Â
âThen why are you asking if you know the truth,â Sirius snapped at James.
James grinned. âTo get you to talk, of course.â Sirius glared at James as James slide into the spot opposite him so they were face to face on the small ledge under the window. âI donât want to talk about it,â Sirius said, refusing to look directly at James.
âJust tell me whatâs going on, please.â James pleaded with Sirius. âI want to help.â James gently touched Sirius face, causing Sirius to subconsciously lean into it. âYou can trust me.â
Sirius hesitated slightly before launched into a rant, âItâs just, I canât believe I actually left. Like Iâm glad I left but it hurts.â Sirius started pacing. âThey really hate me. I always knew they did but it still hurts. And how can anyone love me if my own parents hate me. How can anyone love me. Nobody can.â Sirius crumpled to the floor, trying hard not to cry.
James jumped up and hurried to him. âThatâs not true. Screw your parents. They donât know shit. If they donât love you, then they donât know anything.â James pulled Sirius up, turning Sirius  towards him. âAnd you know who loves you. I do. And I will always love you.â James gently kissed Sirius forehead. Sirius leaned into, feeling James love through it, healing some of the wounds caused by his family. James pulled back slightly, âAnd Iâm not going anywhere.â
âPromise.â Sirius whispered.
âI solemnly swear.â James said, bringing a slightly smile to Siriusâ face. It was going to be ok, as long as James was by his side.Â
