there was a time when I thought it was weird when people don’t put away their Christmas decors after December (or in our case here in the Ph, February or whenever the lunar new year is). This year we needed to stay at home before we even have the lunar new year. Nor were we able to get those hanging Christmas balls off wherever they were hung at. Or maybe some friendly utility peep took those off cause yo their days off the boxes are over. Maybe you are one of those mentioned, maybe I haven’t given much stuff to mention about or maybe I missed you from the lot, but whichever and whatever. . this year is #defoe hard. in any way possible. turns out you can stay and work at home but you got no other choice but live with it. that you can watch a tv series but is that even the telly you watching at or binge over an online series? guess it is the latter. or tiktok videos and online live shows and video calls can’t help but give the least amount of comfort for whatever yearnings you got. that eating your comfort food doesn’t give enough comfort anymore and that there are people struggling to get through a meal most days. so much to ask close to my third decade of existence. I’m told I will only live to see the fourth but I don’t mind extending given the situation. like this took five years off my will so better compensate lest I wallow. in the end, it is the people who stayed with us in times of despair. in moments of solitude you have yourself but those times you were listened to and the moments you were asked to tell how you are doing in such time is not easy given all of us got our own ordeals to live. hope anyone reading this get to hold on to that hope while braving through their silent battles each and every day until we’re all through.
